We fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue at first sniff. Unlike most vanilla scents, this one is fresh, not sweet. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss, while Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent. Happily, the romantic fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.
I like the smell of vanilla, but this was more like a personal attack on my nostrils. I didn't bother putting it on for fear that I'd never be able to get rid of it. I accidentally got some on me when I opened my sample and the rest of my night was spent keeping my hands as far from my face as possible. I can't verbalize exactly what is wrong with it...but it's musky and awful.1
I LOVE vanilla, but not the citrus combo. If you love citrus with a little vanilla then this would be perfect for you:)1
I can't believe people like this fragrance. Luckily I didn't buy this, I received it through points from another source. To me, it smells like very cheap mens cologne. I could not detect a vanilla scent hardly at all. It is very heavy. It's definitely not sweet, but it is so lime scented it is way too masculine.1
I don use perfumes and I don't like the smell ???????????????1
I usually like the fragrance samples I receive from Birchbox but this one didn't do it for me. It smells like something my grandma would wear.1
I'm not a fan of vanilla scents. I think I'll give it to a family member. I do the thought.1
it smelled good at first but after a few minutes it seemed too strong1
This stuff smelled awful! It was like smoke and vanilla and it just didn't mesh well1
Too floral, smells like the cover-up fragrance an old woman would put on to hide her unwashed body.1
didn't love, or like really. It is...for lack of a better word, - little too "mature" smelling for my liking. I will honestly probably give to my grandma.1
