We fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue at first sniff. Unlike most vanilla scents, this one is fresh, not sweet. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss, while Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent. Happily, the romantic fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.
Based on the price of this fragrance, I was expecting something great. Unfortunately, I was unimpressed with the smell and potency of this fragrance. I thought I was very generous with my application, but still could not smell the fragrance. I didn't want an overpowering smell, but just enough for someone to realize I was wearing some sort of perfume. I love the vanilla, but the rest was underwhelming for me. I will not be purchasing the full size of this item.3
I like this fragrance, though it's not an all-time favorite, I will definitely get use of it. I like the hint of vanilla.3
Smells nice, but it's just not really my style. My eight year old daughter really liked it, though. I doubt I would buy it, especially not at that price.3
it smells alright. I'm not really understanding why I keep getting perfume in my birchbox when I specific say I don't want it. I think there are other products that smell just like this3
I think that it is an okay perfume. I am not really a big fan of vanilla. However, I did end up wearing it for a little and did get lots of complements on it!3
I liked the smell quite a bit. It reminded me of something from my childhood. It just didn't seem happy enough - I'm more into floral and spice than vanilla scents - but it was nice overall.3
This is a nice perfume, but a bit too on the super sweet vanilla-y end of things for my taste.3
The sample I received was very small and the vile had a pop top that was difficult to remove. I almost wasted the entire sample just removing the cap. The scent was okay. Nothing exciting, but nice.3
This scent is soft and not overpowering. It doesn't give me a headache. I like vanilla. But I wonder if it's too soft, almost like it's not there. I'm on the fence on this one.3
I bought this perfume after reading reviews and after falling in love with Orange Sanguine. I liked the idea that the vanilla is not supposed to be overpowering or too sweet which it is not. A lot of reviewers described the scent as too sweet or too vanilla which I do not get at all. Rather, I get more of all the other scents and it is warm and spicy with a touch of vanilla. Saying that, I have worn it a few times and I like it but I'm not in love. I have been mixing it with a sweeter/lighter body spray which also smells good.
I am very sensitive to smells and I will say so far the Atelier line does not irritate me at all with headaches or any other kind of irritation so looking forward to try some more!
