We fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue at first sniff. Unlike most vanilla scents, this one is fresh, not sweet. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss, while Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent. Happily, the romantic fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.
I own Ateliers orange perfume and was happy to try this smell. I was surprised that it is not too strong or musky. It's little sweet vanilla smell that I can wear everyday.5
I love vanilla scents. This stuff is awesome smelling and I am planning to buy it in the near future.5
This perfume smells lovely! A little bit of musk with a little bit of sweet! I absolutely love it! Too bad it's a little bit on the expensive side!5
I love getting perfume samples. They're great to leave in your purse/gym bag. This one smells great!5
This scent is like those vanilla-cake-type scents we were all obsessed with at 12 years old, except for adults. It's warm and elegant and very well balanced. I usually don't change up my perfumes, but if I buy this I think it will be more of a fall/winter scent. Long lasting but not overpowering.5
Another hit for Atelier. This one delivers a combination of vanilla and citrus right off the bat then settles into a warm, almost leathery place for me on my skin, which I like a lot. This one lasts a long time. I'm sticking to my other Ateliers for spring and summer (Pomelo Paradis and Bois Blond) but Vanille seems like a great fit for fall.5
I am a perfume junkie. I love anything with a kick, and has an unique scent that will take over and cause people to ask what I'm wearing. I am not a fan of most vanilla smells, but this is really different. This has a musky undertone, and honestly lasts all day. I ended up buying it the day after I got this sample. I wore it to bed and woke up the next morning and it's all I could smell, and think about. I went right away to buy some of my own. Def worth a try!5
I usually hate the sickly sweet vanilla scents that dominate the market nowadays, but I am loving this seemingly newish trend of more "mature" vanilla scents that have great musky undertones and take out that tweeny sugary sweetness. Vanille Intense by Atelier is one of those wonderful mature scents that is making this floral perfume lover into a vanilla-head.
There is a strong vanilla top note, don't get me wrong. And this one is still a tiny bit sweet, but nothing like scents like Pink Sugar or the Bath and Body Works vanilla scents. You can smell the sandalwood and woody/musky tones right away, and it has a heavy powder background. It sounds simple, but it smells nice and complex, and of course it changes throughout the day.
More perfume samples in my Birchbox, please! :)
Perfume is something very personal and I rarely find one I love right off the bat. Not to mention, a scent that is suitable for daily use. Once I got a whiff of this, I was hooked! This is the scent I've been looking for to wear for summer. Done! There's something about it that screams sweet and airy.5
Even though I have sensitivities to a number of fragrances this one was a winner for me. It had good staying power without being overpowering. One of my new faves.5
