Part dry shampoo, part texturizer, this genius invention controls oils in dirty hair and gives clean but blah tresses instant lift. It makes everything more fun, from blowouts to messy updos.
I bought this after reading other reviews, but for me there are 3 reasons I'm not liking it. One: it makes my hair greasy, two: the smell isn't very feminine or clean and three: the bottle I received was defective...it takes all my strength just to press to get the product to spray out. Overall very disappointed!
I've heard nothing but good things about this product. I was so excited to try it even though it's pretty pricey. When it arrived I seriously thought it would change my life. Maybe my expectations were too high but I didn't see that it does anything. Doesn't clean like dry shampoo, doesn't volumize like hair spray (or dry shampoo). I don't even see any texture to speak of, although maybe that's because my hair is fine, fairly long, and I straighten it.
The two stars I've given it here are due to the smell- it's so heavenly I wish I could buy it in perfume form! Also, I'll hold onto hope that with shorter hair it'll actually do something.
This spray is amazing in the full size. It changes everything and keeps hair looking volumized all day. However, the purse size does not have the same "oomph" you get from the full can. The spray doesn't come out with as much power and does not have the same volumizing effects.
I like this texturizing spray, and it's definitely come in handy many times, but I really hate the price. The can you get is so little, it truly does not seem worth it. I'm already out and can't bring myself to buy more, it's just much too expensive.
If you don't mind the price, though, it's good stuff. It makes my hair a little tacky, but does a nice job of adding texture to otherwise flat locks.
This stuff has a cult following and I have heard about many celebs using this stuff regularly, so I was excited to join in. After using it a couple times, I realize my hair doesn't get oily enough to really NEED this product. If anything it makes my hair feel dryer and like I need a deep conditioner to get it back to normal. Again, I think this is due to my personal hair type and I wish it worked better for me, but unfortunately it's a no-go!
I really wanted to like this. It's so expensive it must be amazing, I though. However, it's just okay and the smell is so strong I find it lingering about me during the day. Even though it's pretty effective, I don't use it for this reason. It also seems particularly hard to actually wash out of my hair the next day. Even with a clarifying shampoo I have flakes for days.
This is a great volumizing and texturizing spray but it is not a replacement for a real dry shampoo. It smell really fresh and made my hair look finished but it isn't as powerful for blotting shininess like a real dry shampoo.
I have tried multiple dry shampoos and this was not my favorite. The reviews looked great but I did not like it as much as the powder type dry shampoos.
For me, this was more of a texturizer than a dry shampoo. Although it does help add more life to your hair on a day that you don't wash, I did notice that it didn't really take away the oily-look from my roots. I have thin hair that typically needs to be washed every day but I brought this on vacation to give it a try. It was fine, but I would have liked if it was more of a shampoo. The texturizing element of it definitely made my hair easier to style on the second day and made it feel nice and thick.
i love oribe apres surf spray, so tried this too... but didn't love how it acted as a dry shampoo (didn't give enough volume). worked fine as a hair spray, i just prefer the apres surf spray.
