Part dry shampoo and part texturizer, this ingenious spray both manages oil in unwashed hair and adds instant lift to clean, fresh strands. The result? A breezy, rough-and-tumble texture with a bit of hold to keep things in place—all without any parabens or scary chemicals.
I wouldn't recommend this if you're buying it to use as a dry shampoo. It makes your hair tacky and dirty feeling instantly. So I only recommend using this product if you're going to use this for dirty hair.2
I've heard nothing but good things about this product. I was so excited to try it even though it's pretty pricey. When it arrived I seriously thought it would change my life. Maybe my expectations were too high but I didn't see that it does anything. Doesn't clean like dry shampoo, doesn't volumize like hair spray (or dry shampoo). I don't even see any texture to speak of, although maybe that's because my hair is fine, fairly long, and I straighten it.
The two stars I've given it here are due to the smell- it's so heavenly I wish I could buy it in perfume form! Also, I'll hold onto hope that with shorter hair it'll actually do something.
This spray is amazing in the full size. It changes everything and keeps hair looking volumized all day. However, the purse size does not have the same "oomph" you get from the full can. The spray doesn't come out with as much power and does not have the same volumizing effects.2
I didn't enjoy the scent but it was a nice way to refresh your hair in a pinch!
Don't spray too much. It seem to make my hair a little slick.
Works great as a volumizing spray not so much as a dry shampoo! Be careful not to put too much it will leave your hair crunchy3
I have mixed feelings about this product. I've watched many tutorials and reviews on this product before purchasing and it seemed to work decently on everyone's hair. I had only tried one texturizing spray before (a friends and I don't know what's it's called) and it made my already beachy hair look sooo big and tousled and just amazing. So I thought I'd purchase this... But it doesn't do anything for me. It's almost like the lightest of hairsprays that smells absolutely amazing. It looks good in my boyfriends hair, though. Overall I wouldn't purchase it again because it doesn't do much for my hair besides make it smell good.3
Oribe is a great brand and I use a few of their shampoo and conditioners with great success. Unfortunately, this texturizing spray is just too heavy for my fine, thin hair. The smell was awesome and it was very dry going on. I am sure this would be a cult fav for those with thicker locks.3
This stuff is way overpriced. I heard the scent is drives the high price, but I don't quite get it. Sure it smells nice, but not $40 a can nice.3
Don't hate it. It does nice at texturizing, however I am not crazy about the smell. I still use it if I must.3
A lot of friends have told me this is good, but I have very fine and oily hair and it just doesn't soak up enough oil for me. I have used it for texturizing and it's great for that and for adding volume but for an actual dry shampoo I prefer Amica or Sachajuan Volume Powder. Scent is really nice like all Oribe products.3
