Sticky lip gloss is high up on our list of beauty pet peeves, right next to cakey concealer and smudgy mascara. One gust of wind, and your hair is stuck all over your lips. No thanks, we’ll pass. We’ve become pretty picky about lip products, and these superlight, refreshing glosses make the cut. Created by the color pros at POP Beauty, they add a wash of sheer color and a high dose of shine, without that goopy, sticky feeling we all know too well.
This gloss was so unflattering because it would stick my lips together and form little threads of gloss when I tried to open my mouth to talk or eat. Ugh. The color and shine were great, but it would wear away immediately and the little unyielding spatula is also not great for applying. I love doe foot applicators and I don't understand how this is supposed to work better. Personally, have a very poor opinion of pop beauty after all these subscription boxes.3
Really nice product, just didn't like the shade I was given5
I don't know why BB would say this isn't sticky when it is exactly that. May not be as sticky as some other gloss brands but it does stick. The shine is amazing along with the scent but I HATE yes HATE the plastic spatula on the end of the wand that you have to apply this with. WHY? I have other brands I like more and that aren't sticky/tacky I will stick with.3
I don't hate this gloss, but I don't love it. The color is much more sheer on than I expected. The floating rose color gives almost no color at all, just a sheer gloss (and I'm fair, so even light colors show up on me). The applicator spatula is awful. I'd prefer more traditional/standard gloss applicators (brushes, etc.). It's just a flat piece of plastic and feels awkward and uncomfortable.3
This is an average gloss the color was very nice and it had a lot of shine, however the applicator makes it a bit tricky to apply it kind of resembles a kitchen spatchula. I did notice it lasted a long time once on though. I got a red berry color in my birch box. I normally wear more neutral tones and I would consider purchasing this gloss in a different color.4
This was a cute product. Nothing huge and fantastically life altering for me. I'll stick to my sugarbomb lip gloss. It's my fave. Fun sample to try though.3
the liked the application of this product (a wand) the most. the color (mine was the fuschia) was a lot lighter than i thought it would be according to the color of the tube. it's pretty glossy, but isn't sticky.4
It's just too sticky for my liking.... if you go outside you will be sure to eat a mouthful of hair :(3
I got this sample in my October box in Flowering Fushia. I was surprised how nicely minty it was! The applicator was very different- almost like a spatula instead of a squeeze tube or doe foot. Flowering Fushia is a very very sheer shade and I think the next time I'm at Ulta I'll swatch the other colors to see what they are like. It looks like some of the shades might be more opaque. The gloss is pretty thick, a little goes a long way, but it's not real sticky. I'm not rushing out to buy more, but glad I got it and will look into other colors.4
I love this gloss! It's minty and very high shine, i loved the bright pink color!5
