Sticky lip gloss is high up on our list of beauty pet peeves, right next to cakey concealer and smudgy mascara. One gust of wind, and your hair is stuck all over your lips. No thanks, we’ll pass. We’ve become pretty picky about lip products, and these superlight, refreshing glosses make the cut. Created by the color pros at POP Beauty, they add a wash of sheer color and a high dose of shine, without that goopy, sticky feeling we all know too well.
I got Flowering Fushia, bright pink! I would have never picked that out for myself but it looks great on me! I do have to say that when I put this on my lips felt tingly, like when you put on mint chapstick or something. But this is such a fun product.4
I got the flowering fuschia color, and at first I thought it would be way too bright. It actually applies pretty sheer with a touch of color. Smells good and tingles on your lips.4
I got this in my October Birch box last night and used to today for work and i'm pretty happy. It was a little sticky at first, but not terrible. I like the plumping action, which isnt too much, my upper lip is not a full as my lower, and it tends to dissapear when i use darker lip colors (i got the floating petal color), and this was perfect. I put it on at 7:40 this AM and its 11:00 now and the color is going strong. I would purchase this again, but maybe with my birch box points, i think anything over $10 is a bit much for lip color.4
Lip products are my absolute favorite, after recently purchasing quite a few different lip glosses from birchbox I just don't find this one to compare... I will continue to try it and may find after a few more uses that I really like it!3
i really enjoy this product. It is a little sticky, but i love the color effect alongside the glossy. It has a little mint taste and the "brush" isnt actually a brush, its just a plastic pane. When you pull the applicator out of the tube it is a little messy. But over i really like this product4
the color is great the feel is great not to sticky i really don't like the smell but once its on you don't smell it. Its a great everyday gloss to work or a night on the town!5
Looked like this product was going to be sticky, but to my surprise it wasn't! Received a nice, bright pink, and the sample size is great. The applicator was interesting, not a brush or a doe-foot, but a small flexible plastic paddle.... Loved the gloss though!5
First, I really liked the red Scarlet color. It's shiny and not sticky. The applicator is a plastic one, not the usual cloth like which threw my off at first but I liked it.
the only thing is that I wouldn't want to spend $14 for a lip gloss when the one I use works just fine.
-This gloss smells legit. I could eat it.
-The texture is good, its substantial and it glided nicely on my lips.
-This color is NOT rose. Its more like a fruit punch red. Maybe its because I'm so pale? Who knows. Its not an unattractive color, but I just tend to stay away from super red gloss because of the mess
-I used this twice and the tube leaked a bit, but eh, I expect that from most gloss :)
The only reason this doesn't get a 5 is because it didn't have a scent/flavor and the applicator was not my favorite. This tingled a bit like other lip-plumping products, and I adored the Floating Rose color! I have very fair skin and red hair, but this color looked fabulous! The applicator was not the best, it's a tiny spatula-like tool, and I found that the gloss slid off of it and started getting stringy as I would pull it out of the tube. Overall though, great product! I'm happy with it, and would recommend it to anyone!4
