Sticky lip gloss is high up on our list of beauty pet peeves, right next to cakey concealer and smudgy mascara. One gust of wind, and your hair is stuck all over your lips. No thanks, we’ll pass. We’ve become pretty picky about lip products, and these superlight, refreshing glosses make the cut. Created by the color pros at POP Beauty, they add a wash of sheer color and a high dose of shine, without that goopy, sticky feeling we all know too well.
I tend to stick more to tinted balms, stains, and lip products that aren't much fuss in the texture department (and don't require much maintainence). I'll occasionally pick up a gloss if it's non-sticky and isn't of the disco variety, and this one fits the bill! It has a light scent and flavor, and wasn't smudging all over the place. plus the packaging is nice. It's still a bit too sparkly for daywear in my book, but it's definitely a nice choice to throw in the clutch at night!4
If it wasn't for that bizarre applicator, I would have given this product a 5.4
Although the packaging and color were atrocious, I did find that it lasted a long time and provided some hydration. Not sticky either, which is a plus.2
I own a few POP products and I'm not much of a fan really. I recently received their Pop Crayon and I did not like it at all. This gloss is okay but I've used better and I wouldn't repurchase this one. The color I received was okay, nothing special because I've seen the same color from many different brands before so there's nothing really unique about this product. I think the gloss itself is okay, it's not too sticky which is a good thing.3
Not a fan of this product at all. I own quiet a few POP products. I love love love their tinted moisturizer and the bronzing moisturizer. This lip product is just a no go. The color is terrible and the consistency of the gloss is even worse. It is extremely thick and the brush was not any better. The only thing I enjoyed was the mint scent.1
I got Flowering Fushia, bright pink! I would have never picked that out for myself but it looks great on me! I do have to say that when I put this on my lips felt tingly, like when you put on mint chapstick or something. But this is such a fun product.4
I got the flowering fuschia color, and at first I thought it would be way too bright. It actually applies pretty sheer with a touch of color. Smells good and tingles on your lips.4
I got this in my October Birch box last night and used to today for work and i'm pretty happy. It was a little sticky at first, but not terrible. I like the plumping action, which isnt too much, my upper lip is not a full as my lower, and it tends to dissapear when i use darker lip colors (i got the floating petal color), and this was perfect. I put it on at 7:40 this AM and its 11:00 now and the color is going strong. I would purchase this again, but maybe with my birch box points, i think anything over $10 is a bit much for lip color.4
Lip products are my absolute favorite, after recently purchasing quite a few different lip glosses from birchbox I just don't find this one to compare... I will continue to try it and may find after a few more uses that I really like it!3
i really enjoy this product. It is a little sticky, but i love the color effect alongside the glossy. It has a little mint taste and the "brush" isnt actually a brush, its just a plastic pane. When you pull the applicator out of the tube it is a little messy. But over i really like this product4
