Sticky lip gloss is high up on our list of beauty pet peeves, right next to cakey concealer and smudgy mascara. One gust of wind, and your hair is stuck all over your lips. No thanks, we’ll pass. We’ve become pretty picky about lip products, and these superlight, refreshing glosses make the cut. Created by the color pros at POP Beauty, they add a wash of sheer color and a high dose of shine, without that goopy, sticky feeling we all know too well.
The color is great, the gloss is very glossy, the application is very easy, and the applicator itself is very nice. But this is a sticky, sticky gloss. Like, if the wind blows my hair across my face then my hair gets stuck in the gloss and stays there. Also, it doesn't smell or taste that great. Just like a sticky glob of chemicals. Too many cons for the pros: I'll pass.2
This product was so sticky and gross it reminded me of those lipsmacker glosses circa 2003. The color was good, and the scent was nice, but I could not get over the gross texture. Then again, I've never been crazy into lipgloss.2
This is a great product for tweens or teens. I can't ever use the colors sent to my in BB. They are always some BRIGHT, no one ever wears color - that I end up throwing away. My daughters will use this for halloween or something. But as a gloss, it would be great if it was a color I'd actually wear.3
The color and shine of this lipgloss is so fun and flirty. I love how my lips just popped! As with any shiny gloss there was a bit of a sticky factor when the wind got hold of my hair but I have definitely experienced worse.4
This lip gloss is very sticky, shiny, glittery, blah - reminds me of being in junior high. I do like how the mint makes my lips tingle, though...that's about it! I received the "Floating Rose" shade.1
I was surprised to realize that there was an applicator inside of this tube of lip gloss! Usually tube glosses have an angled top to apply at will. I prefer that style because it's a lot easier for me to apply in the car or without a mirror. However, I really like the way that this lip gloss stays on and feels on my lips. It's a little bit gloppy, but not over the top. The color was meh...a little too shocking pink for me, but when it's on you can't really tell it's so pink. I will keep this little gem in my purse.4
I really wanted to like this product - because i'm a lip gloss/balm addict - but it just wasn't great. The color is bright, but clear, so you definitely need a lip stick color underneath. The minty taste was good, it reminded of Burts Bees, but it was sticky and kind of thick going on. Just not great.2
Love the color, the application brush and how well the gloss stays on.4
I traditionally do not wear lip gloss because of the smearing and thickness and stickiness, but this is much more of a pure liquid and is much easier on the lips. Good for those on the go looking for a variety of color ranges.5
I received this gloss in my October box. The shade flowering fucshia is so beautiful! I was worried when I opened it because I thought it would be too bright for my pale skin. However, it it is so sheer and totally wearable! I got may compliments while wearing it! I also really love the applicator! I'm not the biggest fan of squeeze tubes. The wand was neat, and allowed for easy application!4
