Sticky lip gloss is high up on our list of beauty pet peeves, right next to cakey concealer and smudgy mascara. One gust of wind, and your hair is stuck all over your lips. No thanks, we’ll pass. We’ve become pretty picky about lip products, and these superlight, refreshing glosses make the cut. Created by the color pros at POP Beauty, they add a wash of sheer color and a high dose of shine, without that goopy, sticky feeling we all know too well.
I like the color, but I'd rather have a lip balm or a stain rather than a lip gloss.3
The floating rose color came in my box this month. The only downside to this product is that it's a bit sticky and thick, which is my general complaint about lip glosses as a whole. However, the applicator is awesome and I love the color as well as the tingly feeling it gives on my lips. I will probably be buying this color! It goes on as a watermelon-colored pink, definitely not bright red as it appears in the tube.4
I am normally not a fan of lip gloss. I just don't like shiny lips. That being said, this lipgloss is tingly and has a great color. I don't even mind the shine! I just don' t enjoy that mushy, sticky feeling.3
The color is very sheer, which is nice for applications on the run...very strong minty fragrance is kind of boring, in my opinion...and the paddle applicator is terrible. Like trying to spackle your lips.3
It seemed kinda strange in the application stage and although it wasn't sticky or goopy at first after awhile it got stickier. I am personally not a huge lip gloss fan. Loved that it had a minty scent. I had the Flowering Fuscha and at first I thought it would be way to bright and pink for me, but it was actually quite nice. I will consider buying other products by POP beauty, but probably not this particular one.4
I really don't like lip gloss which was why I was so displeased to get this in my birchbox. Its sticky like other glosses and this one didn't seem to have much color. Its just not my thing.3
When I got my tube of "flowering fuschia" in my birchbox. I was initially disappointed. It looks really freaking neon pink. However, when you put it on it looks much more neutral just adding a light color to lips. If were based on color this would be a go to product. However, this product is exactly what it promises not to be. Really, really sticky. Like cheap bargain bin drugstore sticky. I am happy with it as a sample, but would not be happy with it if I had to pay the market price for it.3
I also received the "Floating Rose" color, and it's a lot more vibrant than the image looks, but still very natural. The gloss is minty and tingly, and I really like the unique wand. Of course, with most glosses, it is kind of sticky, but if it's not a windy day, or your hair is pulled back, you're good to go!5
i LOVED this product! it stayed so long to be more of a gloss than a lipstick5
I didn't love the color of the gloss that I received, but I love the gloss itself. The tube threw me at first, as it is designed like a squeeze gloss, but it actually has an applicator. I don't like that the applicator is plastic, not a brush or the usual soft applicator found in other glosses. However, once I got past the applicator and applied the gloss, I loved it. It's not super sticky and it doesn't bleed off my lips (a problem I have with a lot of lip products). When I get this gloss again, I'll try a different color so I'll love it even more.4
