Sticky lip gloss is high up on our list of beauty pet peeves, right next to cakey concealer and smudgy mascara. One gust of wind, and your hair is stuck all over your lips. No thanks, we’ll pass. We’ve become pretty picky about lip products, and these superlight, refreshing glosses make the cut. Created by the color pros at POP Beauty, they add a wash of sheer color and a high dose of shine, without that goopy, sticky feeling we all know too well.
The lacquer looks great on- I love the color and the glossiness. But be careful, because it is really sticky!4
I was so happy to see a full-sized sample in my box this month. The color and consistency are great, but the applicator takes some time to get used to. It is not the same as a usual brush/sponge applicator.4
I didn't like this product, partially because I don't like to wear this kind of lip gloss and the shade was too bold and a bit juvenile.2
This product was like glue! It was very sticky and not easy to apply at all. Also, the color was a bit too bright for my taste and skin color.1
I thought the wand you used to apply it made it messy and difficult. It was just a piece of plastic rather than a brush or a felt tip. Not for me.1
Most lip glosses are sticky, but this stuff crossed the line. Felt really gross. I also received the "Flowering Fuscia" color, which wasn't my coup of tea.. too pink, kind of juvenile? The only redeeming quality was the mintiness, which felt really nice.1
I really enjoyed this gloss. It had a nice thick consistency and had a slightly minty taste. The color was fairly sheer but very nice.4
I love the colors available and it smells minty and fresh. It gives your lips a super shiny patent shine. The gloss was slightly sticky at first but wasn't overwhelming.4
I loved the color! it was great and true to shade. The gloss was also amazing it was just right. Was not overpowering so i wasn't looking like a disco ball. I do not like the applicator, it is a plastic "brush". The staying power also is not there at all. I don't think i could get to stay on for more than hour. while reapply lip gloss is not a big deal i would go through a tube very fast if i am reapplying so often. Reapply is also a turn off to me due to the brush applicator.4
I don't know what is so special about this gloss. It's just as sticky and gloppy as any other gloss I've used. The color is unremarkable (yes, it does look quite brightly pink in the tube, but goes on pretty sheer and ends up as a soft nude pink). It doesn't smell and has a faintly cardboardy taste. The only thing I like about it is the applicator which I've never seen before and which I think works well.3
