Sticky lip gloss is high up on our list of beauty pet peeves, right next to cakey concealer and smudgy mascara. One gust of wind, and your hair is stuck all over your lips. No thanks, we’ll pass. We’ve become pretty picky about lip products, and these superlight, refreshing glosses make the cut. Created by the color pros at POP Beauty, they add a wash of sheer color and a high dose of shine, without that goopy, sticky feeling we all know too well.
I loved the way this product looked on my lips! It took me a bit to kind of get the hang of the paddle applicator, and to be honest, I don't love the way it doesn't really bend easily along my lips. It was also pretty sticky, my hair kept getting stuck on it lol.
I love the product itself though. My lips looked really glossy and "plump".
I received this in Floating Rose and I love it. Awesome that the sample is a full size product! This color works very well for me, it is not too pink but has enough pigment. I really like the texture, it is sticky enough to last for hours but still feels smooth and very moisturizing. The only thing I don't like is the paddle applicator. It is made of hard plastic and I find it a bit awkward for applying a sticky gloss evenly on my lips. I prefer a brush applicator. But it's not that big of a deal, I would still buy this again.4
I received the Floating Rose color in my box and it is much more vivid looking than the color I see on the website. Luckily, it goes on sheer and I was quite pleased with the color. The consistency is extremely sticky and tacky and I wasn't fond of the plastic applicator. However, I like the gloss overall.4
While I wish this gloss had more color-staying power, it really is a great gloss. It's lasts and doesn't feel too sticky. I think it will be perfect when paired with a lip stain!4
I'm not a fan of lip gloss to begin with, but this one was particularly wretched. It's sticky, gloppy, smelly, and the fuschia shade is really young... like, something-a-6th-grader-would-wear-to-the-roller-skating-rink young. The "innovative" spatula applicator is flimsy, awkward to use, and feels like a disposable applicator you would use at a store. I wish I had gotten a full-size sample of pretty much ANYTHING besides this.1
While I like the idea of a lip gloss, most tend to be too shiny for me. I am older and much prefer the tinted lip balms. This product is extremely nice, but ... too young for me.4
I felt like this product was a bit too young for me. The super glossy bright colored lipglosses aren't really where I'm at as a 30 year old woman. Otherwise, great for a younger crowd.3
First off, this color (floating rose) is much darker in person than online. That said, it is still pretty sheer when you put it on - just has a bit of a hot-pinky tint. This isn't very long lasting - at least it won't last through your breakfast. That said, I did like how it felt on my lips when it was there and I did actually like the color. The plastic wand is a little strange and it is very goopy when you put it on. That said, I do like it and I stuck it in my purse as one of my gloss options.4
I like this gloss. Nice and pigmented, a little bit buildable. Pretty gloss.3
This is great looking lip gloss that definitely has a high-impact glossiness factor. It is, however, very sticky, so you probably will not want to eat, drink or kiss when you are wearing it. I received the "Floating Rose" color, which I really like. It looks like it might be too bright, but it's the perfect amount of pink. The applicator was a little unusual, it's almost like a plastic shovel, but it works just fine.4
