We’re on the hunt for those itty-bitty eyelashes the way some people search for spare change at the beach. Our motto? No lash left behind. This high-tech mascara requires a test run, but once you master it, you’ll be hooked. (Plus, it looks awesomely space-agey.) The innovative lash comb separates, lengthens, and volumizes while the lash-conditioning formula douses even the most meager of hairs in inky color.
Even though I expected there to be a learning curve with this product - thank you, POP people, for being clear about that - I've tried to use it several times and can't get it to work like I think it should. It's always very unevenly applied and gets everywhere, no matter how many or how few clicks I use. Perhaps I'm just too uncoordinated for this applicator, or too set in my ways from using a regular mascara brush for so many years, but I don't think I'll be buying this again.2
I have more mascaras than I know what to do with, and this one didn't live up to most of them. There was nothing special about it.2
I was really excited to try this mascara. I hate the dreaded lash-clumping, so a built-in lash comb seemed like a great idea, and I like to try new things.
But after a few tries, I'm still failing to see the appeal. There is an awful lot of product dispensed with one click, so it goes on quite thick and takes much longer to dry. Once I figured out I needed to blot about half the product off the brush before applying it, I did like the way the brush applies mascara to my top lashes, but I still find it nearly impossible to apply it cleanly to my bottom lashes.
For the extra time and effort it takes for me to apply it, I'm afraid it's probably not worth the effort.
I wasn't too sure about this product when I first purchased it.
It's kind of like trying to use liquid eyeliner for the first time, after you get the hang of it it's so easy to apply and it's honestly not a horrible mascara. I've purchased it twice already and don't see anything wrong with it.
Would love to try this but after reading all the reviews not sure. I really wish there was a smaller cheaper version or sample version to try!3
I thought the comb was a neat idea. The mascara takes a while to dry. I ended up blinking, and getting little dots above my eye. Be careful blinking after application!
I feel that the traditional mascara brush works better.
I love my POP mascara. While I did poke myself in the eye a few times, (the applicator takes some getting used to) overall, it was worth the money. Not gloppy. At all. However if your lashes are somewhat thin like mine, you may want to go with something more filling and less separating.4
It's kind of hard to apply it on at first because I normally use a wand but after a while I got comfortable using and it really makes my eyelashes long. I love it!4
This sounds like something cool to try I have never seen a mascara like this be for and would love to try it4
I like the shape of the mascara bottle; very different from all the others.
There are instructions on the back of the box that explains how to use it. It says to turn the clicker at the bottom about 4-5 clicks the first time, but it took me SEVERAL to get any of the liquid out! It was frustrating. And I had to be very careful not to put it on too thick, because I'm the type of woman who prefers a lighter makeup look.
I use about 2-3 clicks on my first last and I very gently curl my lashes with just the tips of the small brush, and then click it once or twice more for my second. My lashes are curled more than the product I've been using for years. It's hard to make sure not to put too much on, though. It's also waterproof, which is really lovely.
Overall I really enjoy this mascara and plan to use the entire bottle. I just wish it was easier to use at first and I also wish the brush was longer, but it's for better precision. Takes some getting used to. :)
