One of the true leaders of the BB craze, Dr. Jart+ came blazing on the scene stateside a few years ago and has since been acquiring cult status. Arm yourself with this set of beautifying creams, which provide light coverage while nourishing and soothing skin with a host of good-for-you ingredients (think: antioxidant green tea, chamomile, and argan oil).
I have only used the premium BB cream so far, but love it. Better than foundation, but leaves a heavy mess on my hands after applying.4
I consider myself pretty fair skinned but these are really for people with pale skin. I have to wear a powder over them to bring my skin back to a healthy looking tone. Other then that I'm really happy with the consistency and coverage of them! I would happily keep buying them if they get some tone options in. The other thing that's great about these small test pack ones is that they are awesome for traveling and packing light!4
Red-this one was the thickest for me thus making it my least favorite. Blue-this was the thinnest making it my favorite, the consistency of a moisturizer. Black/Gold-felt the same on my face in between the blue and red. They all looked the same and lasted the same on my face. They are all great, it is just personal preference. A great base and I add just a tad of powder.4
My fave is the premium bb cream in gold tube. The red tube is a little thicker so I gave it to my mom since she's older and can use the regenerist anti aging one. The blue one is good but very moisterizing. I didn't get black tube in my box. It was missing! So I got refunded full price thanks to the awesome customer service birchbox has! The price for this set is good considering you get 4 tubes and they are a good size! I still have alot left! Blends very well with your skin color too. I have tan skin and even tho shade looks light it blends perfectly!4
I haven't tried all four samples yet, but I can review two so far. The first one I tried was Premium. I love how it felt on my skin, but the color was a bit to dark for my skin.
The next one I tried was the Water Fuse and I have been using that since. Provides wonderful hydration for my dehydrated skin and leaves a nice natural glowing finish on the skin. I have been using this tiny tube at least three days a week for the past 2 months and I'm still not finished with it! That's an amazing value. Excited to finish it to try the Black Label and Renewalist.
It covers evenly and smoothly. I don't have to use a lot of product to get the coverage that I am looking for. It has a very light feel on my face.4
This is a wonderful product. The sample sizes allowed me to pick the final BB cream that I wanted to invest in. I ended up choosing my favorite and buying the big bottle of it. All of these worked on my normal-dry very fair skin!4
It works a lot better than many of the U.S. BB creams. I feel like they actually do what they say they will and you get to try good sized amount of each product.4
I love Dr. Jart+ BB cream. This is a great deal to try out and see which you like the best. You get really good size tubes and they will last a couple months for sure! I like the Black tube - Detox, the best. Will be buying it when I'm out of them all. The 2nd runner up is the red tube which is very similar to the black. The blue tube is more hydrating and little more sheer. The gold is a skin brightening and i think it's similar to the blue one.
Also it has a good amount of coverage.
One thing is that is comes only in one color. For fair - light skin. Which works great for me. I am actually light/medium but this puts on a good base to start so my contouring and bronzers shows up well.
I bought this sample pack after getting the black BB cream as a birchbox sample. By far, that one is the best one out of the 4. The blue one which is suppose to hydrate does do well in the winter months on my dry skin. The red one has a pinker hue to it, or to me it does, which is something I don't need. The other one (gold) is a weaker form of the black one. It was fun to try and I'm glad I did so I wouldn't always wonder if there was a better one than the black BB cream. It does have a heavier coverage than the others; it's more like a foundation than a light BB cream.5
