This cleansing mud mask is a big deal in the beauty world. A perpetual award-winner and magazine editor favorite, the Italian treatment blends mineral-rich mud is sourced from Tuscany’s volcanic hills with other nourishing ingredients. Use it on your face to purge your pores of built-up gunk and on your body to firm your skin. It even comes with a sponge to make removal super easy. Home spa, anyone?
I'm actually on the fence as to whether I'd buy it. It burned my skin quite to the point I teared up, though it did go away after 30 seconds. After that I found that I enjoyed it.3
I found it to be refreshing and somewhat smoothing and hydrating, but not enough to cause me to purchase it at the full-size price. Also, it had a bit of an unpleasant smell to it that I didn't like to have sitting so close to my nose for ten minutes.3
The active mud thing is very cool and I did dig it, but honestly it's just not something that I would ever do enough to actually purchase. Can mud expire?3
I liked this mask because it didn't sting or irritate my skin like other mud masks I've used. But it didn't do much else either. My skin felt and looked pretty much the same before and after. Bummer.2
The fragrance was too strong for me so I did not try, especially since I have sensitive skin. My boyfriend tried it and he said "it was cool."2
I've tried other product from Borghese and I haven't come across anything I like. I tried the active face and body mud, I cleansed my face and body just as it said, and I applied it, but after a few minutes my face felt like it was burning! I washed it off immediately and luckily I didn't have a reaction past putting on my face.2
I have very sensitive skin, and this felt like it was burning my face.2
I already have a mud mask that I love (aztec secret clay), available at a MUCH more reasonable price. This was not better so I would not be willing to pay for a full size.2
i hate this stuff its def not for me other people might enjoy it but not me2
Did anyone else's skin have a reaction to this? My skin is really rather normal and after applying the mask for about 2 minutes it started having a burning feeling and now my face is red, looking like it's sunburnt. I am hoping for it to turn around as my skin is now, yes, smooth, but I am nervous. Ive never done this mud mask before, but am hoping for the redness to tone down.1
