Giving back to the environment doesn't have to be a sacrifice. This sun-blasting lip balm guards against the worst Mother Nature has to offer, but its eco-friendly mission casts doubt on its true allegiance. Its formula is cruelty-free, its packaging is fully recyclable, and 1% of all company profits help fund community gardens. And here you thought it was just a great lip balm.
I like this balm and the container is an easy one to apply from. The flavor is very mild and it doesn't add color to lips. Will be eager to see how it does in combating clapping as the winter comes along.4
I was expecting this to be a basic lip balm but it goes on very white....its probably my fault for not realizing it had zinc as a sunscreen. They should just give a pinkish tint or something to balance it out
Nice and subtle and good product but not great packaging with the color selection. I like that they went with a less round design but would prefer a neutral color. Good scent and flavor4
I didn't care much for the "flavor" of the lip balm, although it was effective. As a man, I prefer simple, unflavored lip balms.3
This balm goes on very thick, the flavor is not something I would have chosen. It leaves a noticeable presence without any sensation of relief; more like a coating on your lips than care for your lips. I have come to expect much more from other makers. Lip balm prices vary in the hundreds of percentages, but I think this is an example of getting what you pay for; somthing other than a basic stick, bot not the best.3
While I think I get lip baum in every box, this one seems to be good. I like the shape of the tube so it won't roll around. I also like the texture and taste.4
Just because the package looks like a lip-gloss package (instead of a standard tube), it's really good. Throw the "special flavors" out the window, and its still a good solid balm and moisturizer for your lips.4
I really like this product with the exception of the taste which I find a little too much. BUt it does last a very long time which means i can keep it longer.4
Just unpacked this from the Birchbox and put it on immediately. Really impressed-the pomegranate is a really nice smell but decidedly not overpowering. The shea butter is moisturizing, but it doesn't leave a greasy feeling like some other sticks.
I can definitely see this becoming a daily staple in my rotation; its a solid stick so I don't have to worry about over-using it and at 2.99 there's no reason not to justify throwing one, two or three of these into my monthly Birchnox order every time and not caring if I lose them or not, or stashing some in the car, and some at my desk and some at home.
All in all, not the sexiest thing to be excited about, but it's certainly, on a day to basis, going to be a staple for me.
Surprisingly not as oily as some of the other lip balm products off the shelf. The pomegranate isn't too overbearing, and it doesn't color the lips red either.5
