Our hair has a tendency to bring out our inner purist. One word about potentially harmful ingredients, and suddenly we’re scouring the labels on all of our go-to products like concerned parents. Happily, Lulu Organics always passes the worry test. This organic hair oil is made of the purest (and most famed) natural hydrators, instantly restoring moisture and shine to strands while creating a chic piece-y texture. And the best part? The refreshing herbal scent is fantastic.
No matter how much or little I use, damp or dry, this product makes me hair look oily...not in a good way. Cool package art attracted me to purchase.2
This was the 2nd Lulu brand product that I purchase ( bought them at the same time). Again the smell was to herbal for my taste. If you like strong rosemary or sage odors, then this is the product for you. You get a good size bottle and since I don't like the smell on my head. I just plan to use it for body oil. Just like any other oil is good for your skin.3
Admittedly, I have a huge obsession with hair products. And I love hair oils. I have used the Lulu Organics hair powder in the past and I really liked it, but then I moved on to some other new dry shampoo and kind of spaced out on the Lulu Organics powder. When I saw the hair oil I knew I had to try it. I am so impressed. I have naturally dark hair which I had been dying black for years, until I decided to bleach all the color out. Which took forever. My hair is super damaged and is really thick and this oil helped to smooth it down instantly. Like someone else mentioned, it's hard to get out of the bottle unless you tap it against your hand, however I found the oil to be so hydrating and smoothing instantly, you really need a minimal amount and the cap makes it easy to NOT over use, which is a good thing. You could pull it out if you wanted, which would make it easier to apply to wet hair, but as I'm using it on dry hair as of now it's not necessary. The smell is also awesome. I always loved that the Lulu Organics products smell so natural and not strong and "loaded with essential oils"-like. Overall this product is worth every penny. Definitely a must-have.5
I have to use hair oils for my highlighted wavy hair and I wanted to try a new product with natural ingredients. This product smells like rosemary essential oil and a few of the other herbs are hanging in the background. The oils are heavy if you are using on dry hair so use extremely sparingly. If using before you blow dry just use a dime sized amount for hair that comes to your chest and more if longer. All in all this is a good product but I'm going to keep searching for something a little less heavy.4
Love this stuff, and the packaging is lovely too, very art deco/ Egyptian revival!) It has an herbal, incense, earthy, forest fresh scent. My hair is double processed and needs oils like this. I usually use it when my hair is dry (as opposed to wet) but sometimes add some drops to a deep conditioning masque. My only complaint is that the dropper hole doesn't dispense product unless you tap it against your palm. This is good I suppose, in that it wont leak out. I kind of would rather it drop out a drip just as my essential oils do, but not a big deal at all. At 3.4 oz. it will last a very long time. Would like to try the dry shampoo powders sometime, even though I'm used to the convenience of the spray can for those.5
I've been a fan of Lulu Organics' hair powder for years, so I was excited to try their new hair oil. Happy to say it didn't disappoint! I have long bleached hair and always use an oil on the ends after a shower. A little goes a long way with this! I also really like the smell - nice and herbal, a little exotic, and not too girly. The scent fades quickly too which I'm fine with since its so strong smelling at first. Plus the packaging, it's beautiful! A toiletry I'm proud to display! Hair managed, frizz gone, organic product, pretty bottle.5
Birchbox introduced me to the Lulu Organics dry shampoo about a year ago, and I bought a bottle of the hair oil as soon as I heard about it.
It works as a smoothing treatment to my dry, long hair, and I love the ingredients and scent.
