Now and then, we come across a product that’s so darn cute, it makes us want to squeee (but since we’re adults, we restrain ourselves). LAQA & Co.’s lip pencils are one such discovery. They deliver concentrated, high-sheen pigment and come in a wealth of bold shades. Get five of their travel-friendly Lil’ Lip Pencils in this kit. Now that’s the kind of coloring box we can get behind.
I went to a dinner thing that lasted about 3hours and I didn't ever have to reapply this color! Lasted through eating and drinking!5
I bought this sample pack because I could not decide which color I liked best. Well now I'm up a creek because I love all of them. The hot pink is perfect for hot summer nights out but beware it is BRIGHT. The neutrals are great also but the lightest shade really washes me out because I'm practically albino (I just need more color). The two reds are my favorite and I plan to get them in the full sizes.5
Since I really like the LAQA & Co. Sheer Lip Lube Pencil, I decided to get this set to try out the colors. It's horrible in comparison. It doesn't stay and comes off on everything. Terrible old lipstick smell instead of fresh mint like the sheer lip lube pencil. It does have brilliant color but looks a bit like heavy clown makeup once on since the colors are so heavy.1
I'm not usually into such bold colors but these are so fun! I got the purple colored one and it was great! Lasted long too. The only thing I didn't love is the chalky feeling it had. Definitely liked though!4
I got a sample of the lip lube in the June 2014 box and loved it, so I took the plunge and purchased this sample of 5 colors. I received them today and tried each of them on. Wolfman, which is the pale pink on my light to medium olive skin tone made me look sickly. Fairyblood, the shimmery pink, broke in half when I applied it and was shimmery and probably would work well if mixed with other colors. Lambchop which is a neon fuchsia made me look like a clown but it was entertaining to think of wearing this shade in public. Pinkman, the hot pink is by far my favorite of the five, its fun and flirty and perfect for a night out with friends or a date just a punch of color if you want to have some color stand out in an overall look. Ring of Fire isn't as bad as I thought, with my skin tone it came off a little more orange than red but after a while it suited the tone (or I got used to it). I give a 5/5 on texture and creaminess, 3/5 on product applicator (since the lip color snapped in half on first swipe), 2/5 on colors that fits a general array of skin tones...thus the overall rating of 3/5 stars.
Perhaps I will grow to like and manipulate the colors over time but if one isn't willing to be that creative go with a color you know suits you and pick that one from the full sized version because the lasting color and high pigment is worth the purchase but only in the right color.
I received a sample of a Lip Lube and the texture (and flavor) is wonderful. It isn't greasy and thick - in fact, you can't even feel that it's on...even lipstick-haters would love this. My only complaint is that the color is a weird bluish-magenta, which may be fine for layering, which is what I've been doing with it. I can't imagine anyone looking attractive in this color by itself. But now that I see it comes in more colors, I'm buying the set.4
I absolutely love this brand. Each color looks great and leaves my lips super soft. A must have for any women.5
I love it, it looks great on and doesn't come off as quickly as other lip sticks. I got a berry color and it is not a color i would bye but i LOVED it on and i have not stooped using it.5
These little lip pencils are perfect to sample new shades or satisfy multiple-personality hues. The color stays put for ages (except for the lightest of the bunch) and wears for hours. I'm talking through coffee, second breakfast, lunch, and almost to happy hour after work.
The only reason these don't earn a full five stars are the packaging. The twist on the bottom comes too easily and I've already lengthened the lip pencil into the cap several times. I wish it stuck more and had to click through.
I got this pack after a weekend of weddings and hanging out with more girls than I normally do.
The lighter shades are good for work, and the darker ones are if I'm feeling fancy! (Or hanging out somewhere other than the woods...)
Like that they are smaller, so they fit in a bag pocket, and you can try them all. Did have one break off at the base, so I have to be careful with handling them.
