We’ve never been the type of ladies who can wear lipstick comfortably day in and day out (at least, not without wiping away the periodic smudges on our teeth). That’s why we’re borderline-obsessed with this versatile lip pencil, which combines the high-intensity pigment of a lipstick with the shine of a gloss while curing dryness. The brainchild of celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal, it gives the subtle illusion of fuller lips. Once it’s on, we can forget that we’re wearing it at all—unless we pass a mirror, of course.
I was really excited to try this lip pencil, as with any and all lip products because I'm a lipstick, lip balm, and all-over lip color fanatic! I loved that the Tulip shade is subtle enough for daily wear to work, and the formula stays true to its claims. The product moisturized my lips for hours. I only wish this came in more colors and that the color options would provide more darker and bolder shades.4
I did not try this product out until a few months after I got it, WHAT A MISTAKE! I have been missing out on kissable looking lips that glimmer without being overwhelming. I am not a big lipstick person, since I constantly touch my face and smear lipstick all over the place. This lip stick is great, doesn't budge, gives my lips moisture and a great subtle shine which makes my lips look fuller and kissable!
This product delivers a lot of punch. It was too much for me. It has a heavy consistency (not at all stain like), and would work best for those looking for a lot of drama. It probably requires the rest of the face to be "done" for balance, and would work best at night.3
This is pretty lip color! It is pretty and subtle but is still a good splash of color. Goes on smooth and lasts quite a while.5
Didn't look like the color would really show, but once I put it on, the color had a nice sheen and it lasted for quite awhile. I used it often enough that when I tried to twist for more, I couldn't! That's the only downfall, they only give you that tip at the top.4
Love, love, love this. The only thing I can't figure out is how to sharpen it? The color (I bought tulip) is really great, just gives me a polished look without that creamy cakey lipstick look and not sticky like with lip gloss.5
I don't care for really bright lip color and this was waaay brighter than I expected. I ordered the Frisky Fuchsia because it looked like a mild pink. Watch out, it's really intense. I will never wear it. Too bad, looks like a good product otherwise.2
I love a good lip liner, so I was excited to try this lip pencil that acts like a liner and lip stick in one. I had to knock a star, because I was expecting more of a shine. The product description says "shine of a gloss." I'd say that's a bit of a stretch. To me, this pencil goes on smooth, and feels like a lip stick. Not super glossy. It DOES, however, stay put, and the color is highly pigmented. A huge plus.4
The description of the product said "high intensity pigment of a lipstick." The reality? No pigment whatsoever. The product description also said "shine of a gloss." Hardly. What is the point of a product description if it doesn't tell the truth?1
I'm not sure if it really "magnified" my lips, but it felt great and has a beautiful color that compliments my coloring very well.4
