It might not contain a genie, but this little bottle contains the next best thing (sorry, not Jake Gyllenhaal): a serum that both reverses and prevents the signs of aging. A signature blend of natural extracts and antioxidants reduce the appearance of fine lines, dark spots, and pores, resulting in a smoother, clearer, more youthful-looking complexion.
Everyone knows vitamin C is great for reducing sun damage and signs of aging, but most products take months to start seeing benefits. This superconcentrated serum (you mix it yourself, so the vitamin C is super fresh) start minimizing light spots within a couple of weeks and after about 3 months, even "freckles" caused by years of living in Texas without sunscreen were significantly lighter. Bonus, it's a lovely light citrusy scent and a luscious feel on the skin. Silky and smooth, good for day and night use.5
I turned out pleased after finishing the bottle of this serum. However, like so many other treatments, I did not see any real difference after 2-3 months of use. Granted I am not wrinkled, etc. but I know vitamin C can do more than smooth fine lines and I never really saw any change in brightness, texture, etc. either. It was not too strong and did not irritate my skin. I liked how the potent C agent was in a separate bottle for mixing when i was ready to open the bottle. However, I guess it failed the final test, because I did not purchase it again after the bottle was gone. I am just trusting that some anti-aging took place while I was using it.4
I just started using this product and seems to be working pretty good for now. I'm excited to see the results in a few months. They said they can see the changes under a special light. Just need to find where they have one.5
I received this as a sample from Philosophy and was blown away by how smooth it made my skin feel! This has made my list of future must have products. I gave the gel-like-serum about 3 minutes to soak into my skin before covering with my regular moisturizer and sunscreen. My face felt so soft and smooth, had to remind myself not to touch my face through out the day! I'll be stocking up my BirchBox points to purchuse this eventually, too expensive otherwise.5
Now using my second bottle of this serum. I can see a difference in the texture and hydration of my skin. Not sure if it's helping the heavier wrinkles but makeup seems to go on better.5
The pump arrived broken/stuck so that was disappointing. I am debating sending this back for replacement but am eager to see if this product works as well as other reviewers have said. So, I think I will just try pouring a little serum from the bottle onto my fingertips, (rather than trying to force the pump to work), and testing the product for a few weeks to see if it is worth the effort to replace it. So far, I really like the way this product feels on my skin, light and clean. Hoping it is effective but it's simply too soon to judge results. I want to be one of the 82% who see visible results in 4 weeks ... will keep you posted!3
I love this product. I love the way philosophy smells, feels and works. The best!! Helps with dark spots and evening tone.5
I initially tried this product as a sample from Ulta while I was also using When Hope is not Enough serum (also from Philosophy). My skin was looking fabulous---dewy, fresh, and bright---and with all the great reviews on here I definitely thought it was from this product. My own fault for not trying products separately, but when I ran out of the serum and continued using this product, I did not get the same results. It's not a bad product, but I am just not noticing a significant difference like I did with the serum....and for the hefty price on this I definitely expected more. I have since purchased When Hope is not Enough (from Ulta---it is not on this site unfortunately!) and I LOVE that serum!
For the price of this, I don't think it is worth it.
This product goes on so smoothly. It feels sticky at first but quickly dries and pairs well with my moisturizer.4
I'm early 30s, so I have just the beginnings of some lines on my forehead that bother me a bit. Well, I HAD them.
I'm about 2/3 of the way through my first bottle. First of all, it lasts forever - it says on the box that it's "best" used in the first 3 months, and that's a needed warning, because I've already had mine longer than that (I only use it in the morning, though). No noticeable decline in effectiveness, though.
Secondly, the stuff WORKS. Those lines I mentioned? Gone. If I skip my facial routine for a few days or I get a little dehydrated and I and let my skin get over-dry you can start to notice them again, but overall they've basically vanished.
It's spendy, yes, but totally worth it.
