Not all shea butters are created equal. The eco-conscious folks behind Shea Terra Organics sourced this unrefined version from the Otuwe Shea Butter Cooperative in Uganda, which is famous for abundant rainfall that helps shea trees flourish. Local women harvest the nuts by hand before sending them to a mill, where they’re distilled for the rich moisturizer that’s great for face, body, cuticles, and hair alike. Compared to its more common West African counterpart, this East African shea butter is creamier and has a less noticeable scent, making it ideal for sensitive skin.
I LOVED this product! I have never used anything like it, but I am addicted now. Definitely want to purchase after my sample is gone!5
Maybe I didn't mix it enough in the sample, but it smelled awful. HOWEVER, super effective product. really enjoyed it.4
Loved this product. I have really dry winter skin and it works wonders but I hated the smell. Otherwise, great sample and I really liked it!5
I used the Shea Butter for my cuticles, and it definitely does the trick. I currently already have a favorite hand cream line, so I will not be purchasing.4
This product feels great going on, however so far it hasn't done much in terms of keeping my skin hydrated.3
I like this product, but it wasn't anything new in the world of shea butter (to me at least.) The brand i already use will be the one i stick with.3
I loved how soft it made my hands - but felt it left my hands a bit greasy. I also used as an under eye treatment before bed, and my eyes appeared refreshed the next day. Good sized sample!4
It feels like literally butter. It's a great cream and very moisturizing.4
This brand is one of my favorites and this product was amazing. It made my skin feel extra smooth and nourished.5
This product gave me great results! I have very dry hands and skin during the winter months and this really helped me put the moisture back into my skin. However, the fragrance was awful, in my opinion. It was an odd smell, one I would not consider a "fragrance".4
