We’d never, ever tell you to wash your hair with an ordinary bar of soap. But this one-of-a-kind shampoo and body bar is the exception to the rule. Made with certified organic Moroccan argan oil, shea butter, and purifying ghassool clay, it works as a head-to-toe cleanser (how cool is that?). Each bar directly helps support female artisans in Morocco who continue to rely on ancient harvesting and distilling methods, so you can feel good about using it.
This is a great face wash for my dry skin and decent for my body, I love eco friendly ness but DO NOT try it as a shampoo unless you're already in the routine made my hair greasy for days, but will still be purchasing this product again for the face wash success4
I have to write a review because of the negatives this one is getting. If you use this as a shampoo, you HAVE to give your hair time to adjust. It's not going to work well if you have been using harsh shampoos filled with chemicals. Use it for a couple of weeks and then it will start working after your hair has adjusted to it. If you can't commit to that, don't buy it intending to use it as a shampoo.5
I love there products and the idea of a head to toe cleansing bar that works is a winner. Leaves skin soft and squeaky clean.5
Left my hair feeling really tangly and with a residue. Tried an apple cider vineagar rinse which helped with that, but I think there are far better natural solutions for washing your hair. As a body soap it was great! though kinda irritating for sensitive skin.2
This product was different than I has anticipated but it just didn't work out for me. It left my hair extremely dry and also dried out my skin after using it several times. Left tiny scratches in my skin as well. I unfortunately threw it away after using it but a couple of times.2
This soap/shampoo is nothing to write home about. It doesn't have much of a scent. The scent it does have is earthy (read as: smells like dirt literally). It didn't dry out my skin or seem to leave a film, but it did weigh down my hair. This one is just not for me. :(3
I repeat, do NOT put this in your hair. Omg. I used it then conditioned my hair. It felt like it was all rinsed, it wasn't until I was blow drying my hair that I felt this horrible residue in my hair. It was so bad I had to get back in the shower and wash my hair again. At least I could sort of style it after, still some spots had residue in it. And it made my hair horribly frizzy.
As far as a soap, it's fine.
This soap has a very herbal kinda earthy smell. It's not bad it's just different. It works really well and moisturizes well.4
I didn't try it as a shampoo, so I will only be reviewing it as a soap.
But wow, what a great soap. Not too moisturizing, not drying at all. Just right.
It's got some little scratchy bits for gentle exfoliation. I don't like most exfoliating soaps because they're so scratchy they're uncomfortable. But this is very mild and pleasant to use.
The scent is minimal, there's no additional fragrance in the bar, so it's just a faint clay scent. Nice.
I don't think the soap itself is bad or lacking in lather but I feel it's probably better suited to short hair. Rinsing completely is important with any sulfate-free shampoo but I had a difficult time rinsing this out at all.3
