You think Tommy Edison could have invented the lightbulb with chapped lips? Well, maybe, but one thing’s for sure: Dry lips are uncomfortable and distracting. Luckily, the geniuses at longtime apothecary C.O. Bigelow, where Edison was a patron, have developed this little lip balm that does big work. Made with shea butter, it moisturizes and heals your lips while you sleep, leaving you to focus on your own bright ideas.
This is straight up the stickiest lip product I have ever tried. I have big lips & I have tried SO many different products & this is by far bottom of my list. There was no way I was able to use this during the day so I tried it at night. There wasnt a great enough difference though so it wasnt worth it. There are many other (cheaper) products out there.
Smells great though!
I thought this C.O. Bigelow lip product would be more intensive healing than the others, but I was disappointed because I found it wasn't any more moisturizing than the other products in the line (not to mention some competitor brands that I prefer overall). Also, the scent and taste were not as nice as some of the other products. Plus, the tube is smaller but the same price! I would not recommend this product. If you want C.O. Bigelow lip care, try one of the other balms or glosses offered.2
I was looking for a night time lip treatment/balm and I thought this would do the trick! My lips tend to get dry over night and I wanted to try something other than regular Chapstick. I found that it moisturizes well while it's on but goes on and feels more like a lip gloss. Didn't nourish my lips at all over night and felt like it was drying once the product was off. If you're looking for a moisturizing lip gloss this is it!3
This product did not blow me away - based on previous reviews I thought it would be much more moisturizing than it is. It doesn't seem to do that much better of a job than some other products I use and to top it off it is very sticky. Just a note, I do have skin that is on the dryer side. Overall, I was not that impressed and would not purchase again - but it isn't terrible.3
I tried this in full size from a local beauty store. Bigelow usually makes products with great fragrances, which is a big deal for me. After all, who wants an icky smelling beauty product? Anyway...the balm glides on smoothly and felt nice, but I experienced no transformation in the texture of the skin in my lips. It was just..."eh" for me.3
This feels great on the lips and smells good, but is so goopy and sticky that I am afraid it is getting all over when I sleep. Haven't seen. A r e Aldrich difference with use yet.4
I have horrible chapped lips, especially during the winter when it's so dry, and this product saved my lips. I noticed an immediate difference as soon as I used it. I use it all the time and keeps my lips refreshed hydrated. Will definately purchase this again!4
I have tried probably around 50 different sticks and balms in an attempt to tame my ridiculous dry and shedding lips. I bought this stuff after looking at many of the products on Birchbox's site and I am not disappointed. I use it during the day, not just at night, and it moisturizes well and sits well under lipcolor. Only downside is the way it smells. Good stuff!4
So this product is a little expensive for me normally, but I got a discount and decided to give it a try. Glad I did! I always seem to be too busy or forget to use lip balm during the day. I use this once at night before bed and my lips are soft and smooth in the morning and not chapped!4
its decent, better than store stuff, dont feel like i need to keep reapplying, but its not magic like some people claim. didnt make my lips perfect in the morning.4
