Back in the day, we used to rock scrunchies like they were our job. But now that we’re grown-ups (kind of), it’s time to graduate to something a bit more sophisticated. These chic hair ties keep hair secure without snagging strands or leaving ugly creases. Best of all, they look as good on our wrists as they do in our ponytail.
I think these hair ties are adorable, but find that they don't hold my thin hair very well. Also, they claim to not crease your hair, but they definitely do.3
I purchased the 6-pack of twistbands because I loved the sample I received in my BirchBox. I was very surprised that the first one of the six I used stretched out so much it's no longer usable. That was disappointing. If that had been my first experience with one of these I would never have purchased. I'm giving this three stars as I'm very happy with the sample I received but if it's 50/50 that these work well, I will not be purchasing more. I've only used one of the six pack to date.3
They stay in place well but don't live up to their "no creases" motto. I won't be repurchasing any time soon.3
i was all excited to see this knock off of emi=jays for cheaper but after a while, i've decided they aren't as well made. so decent but i'd go back to the real thing next time!3
All of my friends that these were the best hair ties ever but I waited until I got a sample to try. Although I don't think they changed my life and still gave me a crease in my hair, they are super cute and don't cut off the circulation in my wrist. I think I may buy a few purely for the cute factor!3
Nice alternative to black bands after workout- but it seems a pricey and wears out easily. I will still buy some tobtry3
The material is lovely but with my thick hair it doesnt work. The second wrap-around it broke. Probably best for fine hair.
Cons: Material started coming off as soon as I stretched it.
I didn't know what it was when I first saw it in the box. Seems to work pretty well, but costs more than what I'd normally pay for a hair tie. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either.3
I tried the twistband hair tie for my finer textured hair for a hot yoga class as that tends to be the time when I need to pull my hair back. I wrapped the twistband atleast three times before I felt like my hair was securely tied back, and throughout the hour and a half class I felt that the twistband relaxed and stretched. I don't feel that it was able to grip my hair very well, but perhaps with thicker textured hair this would be a wonderful hairband.3
Seems I could just go to the fabric store and buy the nice elastic, cut to size, tie together, and then burn the edges. Not all that enthusiastic about this hair tie3
