Of all the beauty minefields out there, visible pores are one of the trickiest to dodge. Foundation alone doesn't do the trick, which is why we turn to this translucent balm to shrink the appearance of our pores. The silky, oil-free formula diffuses pores and fine lines for an airbrushed finish, and it goes on sheer, leaving skin smoother and more even. We can use it as a primer in the mornings or as a touch-up treatment throughout the day. Perfect T-zone, here we come.
When I put it on it feels like granulated sand and is very thick and very heavy. To gritty for me.1
This really didn't blend into my skin. It just sat ontop and made my makeup come of faster. I don't like using it on top because it starts to look cakey.
Overall not a great product, at least for me.
I received a sample of this when I bought another Benefit fullsized product, and I can't say that I felt like I saw any perceivable difference when I applied it. Granted, my pores don't feel very big, but all the same: didn't seems to actually do much.1
I have mature skin and still have those pesky large pores. They are less likely to be accompanied by blackheads or pimples, but they are empty HOLES, I tell ya. They are particularly large on my nose - which is also on the large size so there is a fair amount of skin for POREfessional to do its professional best with. Just did not work - makeup was in dots in no time (gathering in pores.) I love most of Benefits product line but will skip this one in the future. Two Faced primer works better and the Philosophy ones work the best for my skin. I did like the feel of this product and a little went a long way.1
I have always heard people ranting and raving over this so I bought it... was very disappointed. I don't know if I just got a bad tube or if this is how it is, it seems kinda dry and leaves creases from beginning to end!
I was encouraged by all of the positive reviews, so I tried porefessional from my local Benefit counter and was thoroughly disappointed. The product did not work for me. I have combination skin and my makeup usually wears off of my T-zone by the end of the day. Porefessional went on very easily and felt satin-like. There was no discernable difference between the days I wore the porefessional and the days I did not use the product. It also has a very strong fragrance, if you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to strong fragrances, you may want to steer clear.1
I love most everything from Benefit, so was surprised that I'm not really a fan of this stuff. I just didn't see a significant difference after using it for a couple of weeks.1
I was not a fan of this at all. I decided to try this instead of my usual primer and I was so disappointed that I washed it off and started again with my regular primer. The consistency is odd - kind of like spackle - the way other reviewers described it. Also, my skin immediately felt dry and had a weird greyish tint. Not the product for me.1
This stuff is awesome. I have combination skin, so its hard to find a product that works all over, and leaves my skin feeling primed perfectly for makeup - or just by itself. The first time I used it, i got many compliments on how soft and matte my skin looked. I definitely plan to purchase this product in the future.1
This superfine, silky grit goes on basically like translucent spackle. Perhaps it helps smooth things out for others under the rest of their beauty routine, but it just made a mushy mess on my face, interfering with the texture of my other makeup. I do not at all see how this product would be useful to wear on its own. It is one of the few Birchbox products I've ditched before using it up.1
