In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a best-seller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
This product is a staple in my make-up bag. It's light weight and doesn't cause breakouts. Gives me just the right amount of color without making me look like I've loaded up my face with too much make-up. Works great under lip gloss on the lips too! Plus: the bottle lasts quite a long time! Well worth every penny.
5I got this in the sample size. I've always struggled to find natural looking blushes and lipsticks that I don't hate (I'm very picky about things not looking or feeling greasy on my lips). My father is from India and my mother is a red-head and my skintone is fair but weirdly hard to match/coordinate with makeup. This is wonderfully natural looking while not looking 'too natural' if that makes any sense? And the staying power is AMAZING. I need to wear blush every day or I look wan, and this lasts all day.
5Not one review I read mentioned that this is a water-consistency liquid applied with a nail polish-type brush to your lips. it does settle into creases a little, so if you are over 45 or have smoker-lips, you'll probably hate it. The color is less intense than you think (unless you apply like 3 layers) but it is quite a lovely product once you master application. Once it dries it really does stay put, and it smells nice. Love that I can kiss my baby without leaving big lipstick smooches all over her!
