In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
This product is just not something I would use. I don't like using liquid blush, and it was too bright for my lips, so its probably not fair for me to give it a low rating. I would rather spend my dollars on other products.1
I received this sample, and don't think I'll end up using it or purchasing a full size product. It was rather messy (yeah, I dropped it, but it looked like blood everywhere!), and the color looked uneven on my lips. I didn't try on my cheeks because I'm so used to powder blush that I hadn't realized I could put it on my cheeks - oops! I may try that, because I did not throw it away or anything.1
The product itself is great, however the red tint does not suit my already pinky-red skintone. I would've enjoyed it if it was more of a peach-y color than pinkish red.1
This product did not impress me. It tastes to perfumy to put on your lips and the stain doesn't take right away. Also I prefer to select a shade and this only comes in one color.1
This was not for me. I would much rather use a normal blush. when I tried it I put to much on but I couldn't get the extra off. This is probably great for someone who wears a lot of makeup for long periods of time.1
While I liked the rosy tint this left on my cheek, it didn't show at all on my lips and it tasted awful. I was also left with a red finger after applying it to my cheek (w/my finger as the instruction card showed to do). I usually like Benefit products, this one just isn't for me.1
This was very Rose smelling and tasting. I felt like I smelled like a grandma all day. Wasn't impressed with the product; didn't hold the color long for a "stain"1
I was not sure if I would enjoy this product. Being very pale skinned, I was not much of a fan of the product on my lips. It made my lips look very red. I prefer softer shades on my lips. I have yet to try the product as blush.1
I guess if this is your thing--its a great product. But it was a bit too much for me--the shade for too 'red' and it was hard for me to play it down. Maybe it takes someone more skilled with makeup.1
When I tried this color (and I have pale winter skin) I couldn't even tell I put it on.1
