In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
I have this and I have tried it twice and I didn't like it. Gave it to my daughter and she loved it.2
Very ho-hum in my humble opinion. I applied this to both my lips and cheeks. I had to keep applying more product to my cheeks to even notice anything. I ended up ditching that effort and just using my regular blush. As a lipstain, it's just okay. It provides a very light and pleasing color base, but definitely is not a stain--it disappeared within minutes. Definitely not impressed with this product.2
I am a super fair girl and while this shade works on my lips as long as I don't go crazy... it sucks moisture right out of my lips. I am way too apprehensive to try it on my cheeks.2
I don't know what tint they are referring to because there is no color. There was a little gloss. But no color or tint to speak of.2
I really wanted to like this, but the color just isn't for me. I'm not a red red person. My lips felt really dry too after applying.2
I think this product is OK for a cheek stain. However, I was really more interested in it for my lips and it really isn't ideal for a lip stain. It is very thin and the smell is so strong that I almost felt I shouldn't be putting it near my mouth!2
I am a huge Benefit junkie but this product just missed the mark for me. I actually had already purchased the full-size so I knew I was not going to like this sample. I've tried using my fingers, a brush, a sponge, and just didn't feel like it smoothed into my cheeks. I looked like I had just smeared lipstick on my face or something. That being said, I know a lot of people who like it....I would prefer a cream blush I think. BUT I will say the color is great--kind of a rose/poppy color.2
I had higher hopes for this product. I have been using the ChaCha Tint to give my cheeks/lips a bronzed look and had wanted to go deeper, more wine-tinted. Too bad I had to apply Benetint like 60 times to get even close to a reddish color and it didn't last very long. I liked the rose smell, but when it's on my lips it does not taste good and all I can think about are the chemicals I must be tasting.2
Haven't tried this on my cheeks, as I'm always cautious about anything that red. Perhaps based on the lack of longevity on my lips, I should give it a shot. The sample I received seems really watery and even when trying to build the color, it just doesn't seem to have any staying power. Sad. I do love how natural it looks, though.2
I typically love Benefit products and had always heard great things about benetint. However, the sample didn't do much for me. The color didn't show up as strong as I would've liked and it didn't last as long as I expected2
