In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
The pigment did not show up on my skin but when I applied a lot, it would but very very light.1
I was interested in trying this, but didn't really like it. It tasted terrible on my lips, and the color wasn't very noticeable once blended.1
The benefit tint I received was a nice sized sample. I however do not enjoy tints, they are a little messy and make my makeup routine too long, and for me a little risky. Maybe I would have enjoyed it if I had a little more patience for tints.1
I didn't like the color--I am not a fan of Red lipsticks. I am a chapstick natural kind-a-girl. Plus this had a rosey smell that wasn't pleasant for me.1
I was excited to receive a tint in this box..something vivid that would stay on my lips for at least a few hours. Imagine my disappointment when it lasted minutes only ..1
I have tried this before, it seems a bit child like to me, shows color on my lips but not my face.1
I cannot stand bright red lipsticks, and yet every single sample of lip products comes in bright red! There is no variation in color which is annoying. I just throw these away and feel annoyed that Birchbox only caters to ONE set of clientel with their lip products.1
I like that you can use this product as a blush and for lips, but it doesn't work well with the makeup I currently use.1
A blush would be so much flattering and allows more control over contour, while painting something on my cheek seems redundent and unnecessary.1
The concept of this product is great, but it only last about 30 min.1
