In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
Benetint has always been a good staple to have. I love it for cheeks, and can also use it in the winter under gloss to give that natural hue. Be careful--too much on your lips can make it look like you overdid the cherry Kool-Aid.4
I've seen Benefit's Benetint around for a while, but had not yet built up the courage to try it and I did not want to spend the money on something I was unsure of. I was excited to see it in my box this month. My first go was not so great; it takes some practice to get the tint where you want it. (One cheek looked like a china doll and the other looked fine) But, once I understood how to apply it, I was very pleased with the results. It lasted a long time and was a great, natural tint. My one big complaint, though, is that it stained my fingers. A different applicator that saved my fingers would have been great!4
I was skeptical of this product at first and waited until after work to apply. I am a huge fan of Benefit and the quality was as I would expect, very nice. It gave me a nice glow that looked very natural. It also lasted which I was glad.4
Don't particularly like rose-scented things but other than the scent, I love this! Nice alternative to a gloss or lipstick.
You can layer it to achieve a deeper tint.
I loved trying out this product. It gave my lips a lovely tint as well as my cheeks. (I admit, I need to work on applying to my cheeks) I will definitely be using this!4
This product smells really great, like roses. I felt like I could smell it throughout the day. It takes a couple coats to really see the pigment come out. I tried it on my cheeks but really didn't notice anything (I also didn't put any concealer on first). I'll definitely be using this more for my lips. Make sure yours aren't chapped first or else the stain will get stuck in the crevices. I wish it didn't turn my finger pink though!4
I used this product for my cheeks and lips and was very satisfied. The only negative I have is that it doesn't last too long on the lips. Other than that, it's the perfect blushing color.4
I really like the color of this product but it's a little pricey.4
I love that the color of this stain works for both my lips and cheeks- compact and 2 in one!4
I have always stared at this product in store but was too scarred to ever buy it and try it for fear of it not matching, not blending, not the right color, not liking the feel, etc. That all changed. They are not kidding when they say work it in right away. It sets quickly. It's easily blendable and buildable so you can have a light or concentrated color. I love it as a lip color but I also need to use a lip moisturizer with it.4
