In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
I have already received this sample twice, this is the third time. So glad I'm switching to ipsy in February!4
The color looks really deep in the bottle, but it goes on really sheer. This product looked really natural on my lips and worked well with some clear gloss or balm on top. I did not like it as much as a blush because it was a little difficult to blend with powder makeup, but it would probably work fine with cream foundations/lotions.4
This stuff is great I love that it can be used on the lips and cheeks. My favorite thing about this product is that it appears very natural when you wear it. I will definitely be purchasing this after I finish the sample!4
I love this product! It goes on sheer, but is buildable! It gives a nice natural color to my lips and has an easy application. Haven't tried it on my cheeks yet, but I would think it applies the same. Would recommend.4
Love that this can be a cheek or lip tint! Not too dark either4
I really liked using this product on my lips. Gave a nice color but was not overwhelming. Was able to use normal lip balm over, but still have color. Have not used on my cheeks but am planning on it.4
This is something I never would have thought to buy but now it will be a staple for me4
I was not sure about this product when it arrived in my box, but fell in love with it! Add just a little to your cheeks and your lips.. Honestly loved it4
I received a sample in my January Birchbox. I don't love it for lips, it's a little too runny. But it's perfect for cheeks. Adds a perfect natural color to your cheeks. Stays better than your typical powder blush.4
I love that this stain really lasts, and that it is a multi-tasker. I'm not sure about the color, however, as I usually use more pinky tones. The color really does last all day though, and the sample is large enough for me to really try it out long enough to decide if the color is right for me. Who knows, maybe it will grow on me!4
