In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
This product was much easier to use than I expected, and a little goes a long way. I like layering the tint on my lips to create various shades of red.4
It was super bright on my cheeks but it didn't fade like my normal blush and I love it for stain on my lips! It adds that nice extra pop!4
This product was super-easy to use on my cheeks. The color might be better when I'm a little more tan, though.4
I like this red lip tint. It was fairly subtle and I am excited to wear it out and about. But, it did taste a bit odd.4
I've used this before in my younger days when I could walk out the house with a fresh face and just a touch of tint on my cheeks and lips. sigh. Anyway, those days are gone, but I'll put it to use when I'm running late for school drop off. :)4
i use this mostly to tint my lips. i find the nail polish like applicator quite hard to apply for the cheek. i prefer other lip tint products with marker like applicator over this one. nevertheless, the color is natural and very convenient for that quick natural look. i just apply this then put my lip balm over. i think the sample size is pretty enough to use to a long time. not worth buying the full size bottle for $38 since i prefer spending much less money on a colored lip balm4
Benetint has always been a good staple to have. I love it for cheeks, and can also use it in the winter under gloss to give that natural hue. Be careful--too much on your lips can make it look like you overdid the cherry Kool-Aid.4
I've seen Benefit's Benetint around for a while, but had not yet built up the courage to try it and I did not want to spend the money on something I was unsure of. I was excited to see it in my box this month. My first go was not so great; it takes some practice to get the tint where you want it. (One cheek looked like a china doll and the other looked fine) But, once I understood how to apply it, I was very pleased with the results. It lasted a long time and was a great, natural tint. My one big complaint, though, is that it stained my fingers. A different applicator that saved my fingers would have been great!4
I was skeptical of this product at first and waited until after work to apply. I am a huge fan of Benefit and the quality was as I would expect, very nice. It gave me a nice glow that looked very natural. It also lasted which I was glad.4
Don't particularly like rose-scented things but other than the scent, I love this! Nice alternative to a gloss or lipstick.
You can layer it to achieve a deeper tint.
