In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
I applied it straight onto my cheeks, and it said to blend. I was confused on what to do and it basically gave me clown cheeks. I probably just didn't do this right. The product is very nice for lips, though3
When I go out dancing or on a date I hate reapplying lipstick... You eat and it disappears, you talk or drink and it disappears. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a way to tint your lips to make them look flush, supple and always beautiful?! That is what this tint does. You can give your lips that beautiful subtle red look and never worry about reapplying for the rest of the night and I always get compliments on my lips. You can also use it on your cheeks and it gives you a slightly flushed attractive look. But the lips are so helpful!!! I never go on a date without this tiny... I love it!!!5
great size, and smells like roses.. I love it as a blush, but as a lip tint not so much. in dry areas the color is darker so looks splochy. works great under a different color for an added pop of red though4
This is perfect so far one of my favorite lip products. I can wear this color to work or going out for some fun. It's a versatile and beautiful color that lasts a long time.5
This is the original Benefit tint and is a beautiful, natural, rosy color. It has a very liquid-y consistency so takes some time to layer on enough to get a deeper color but is well worth the time. It easily lasts all day once on.4
I got a sample of this a while ago. I don't usually wear much heavy makeup - I'm really finicky with lipsticks and balms because with my super oily skin, they tend to make me break out around my lips. This stuff is great! Just adds enough color to lips and cheeks to give the illusion of a more "natural" make up face (especially since I tend to accentuate eyes instead of lips). Then I can top with my normal lip balm that adds a little shine. Wore this for my sister-in-law's wedding, and it looked fantastic!5
I was disappointed with this product on myself. This blush is great for someone who doesn't need full coverage, as for me it didn't blend well with my foundation.3
This stain was very user friendly. It does dry quickly but blends very well. Gave my lips a deep, even rouge color4
I have never used a liquid stain before so I was skeptical. I have been a powder blush girl for a long time as the main staple of my beauty regimen. I now only use this stain for my daily cheek needs. it is subtle yet effective. With just one application it lasts all day through work and even into night occasionally with just a little touch up. I found it only slightly effective on my lip but it is nice to know if I ever need a bit of color added I can use just this one product.4
Natural long lasting color for lips but is a little sheer for cheeks and is a little hard to blend on cheeks but it helps under a light dusting of powder blush4
