In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
It is a great item to use for you lips and your cheeks! You can make it as light or as dark as you want!4
I love this Benefit tint! Great as a lip tint, cheek tint, anywhere yo add some color
Brush application can be a little messy, wish this were a sponge. But otherwise, a fabulous product.
I love the shade and scent on my lips, but can't figure out how to make this product work as a cheek stain without looking like a clown. It dries so quickly upon application that I can't blend it to get a natural look.3
Love the buildable color, like the rose scent. Make sure lips and skin are exfoliated, and blend immediately after application, otherwise the color will be uneven and stick to the dry parts.4
Great size to throw in my purse and use when I need a little color on my cheeks or lips! :)5
I've bought trials of this product before, so I knew what I was getting when it arrived in my birchbox. I like the product as a cheek stain, and it's perfect for warm summer months when I don't want to wear foundation. However, I want to like this on my lips, but it always dries uneven and I look like I've eaten a popsicle, just on the inside of my lips.3
I have to use a lot more of this product on my face than expected to feel like I can see any color (and I don't typically wear a lot of blush). I do like using it as a lip stain. It adds nice color without the stickiness of lipstick or gloss.4
I've been wanting to try this stain for a while and am really glad I had the chance. It has a fantastic smell and the color was great on my fair skin. I've been using theBalm's Staniac and really like it, but I might give this a try when I run out.5
I like the color, however it's super sheer and I didn't really notice the color when I tried it. I'll have to try layering it more to see if that helps.3
I tried this on as a lip tint, and it had a strong taste but didn't actually do much tinting.2
