In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
This is perfect so far one of my favorite lip products. I can wear this color to work or going out for some fun. It's a versatile and beautiful color that lasts a long time.5
I got a sample of this a while ago. I don't usually wear much heavy makeup - I'm really finicky with lipsticks and balms because with my super oily skin, they tend to make me break out around my lips. This stuff is great! Just adds enough color to lips and cheeks to give the illusion of a more "natural" make up face (especially since I tend to accentuate eyes instead of lips). Then I can top with my normal lip balm that adds a little shine. Wore this for my sister-in-law's wedding, and it looked fantastic!5
I just use this stuff on my lips, but I love it. I've never really been able to use anything thick and colored because my lips are always too chapped, but this doesn't make it look at all like you're wearing lipstick - it just makes it look like your lips are that nice red color. It isn't sticky or heavy in any way, and though it doesn't last forever it fades nicely. I hardly ever use anything else!5
Thank you Benefit for this amazing product!! I have been using this specific one for about 7 years and still going strong. Everytime I use it people are amazed because it looks like I'm putting nail polish on my face but when they see the results, they're jealous they don't have it. I usually will put this on over my foundation and pat it in with my index figure about 15 seconds after I've applied it to my cheekbones. It also works great when you combine with vaseline to make a good lip stain. Very versatile, I love it and I think anyone else would too!5
I absolutely love the color this stain gives my lips! I usually layer over it with Benebalm to provide some extra boost in color and hydration.5
I've wanted to try Benetint for so long. I'm glad I finally did! I actually sampled it at Sephora and bought it from Birchbox... That was mu plan, but I didn't feel so bad about doing it since Sephora was out of stock anyway :-)
I have oily/combination skin. Fair (winter) to medium (summer). My skin is mostly clear, but I get the occasional zit and have some receding acne marks. I used Rx acne treatment and minimal light foundation all over. I also use Benefit's Porefessional primer.
After I prime some oily areas and do my light foundation I add 3-6 quick strokes of Benetint to my cheeks and pat to blend with my fingers. The color is natural, buildable, long lasting, and sheer. I love having color without shimmer. It's really nice to dab on your lips (after a bit of balm), too.
I sampled the pink shade of this tint and still preferred the classic red. I was intimidated by a stain, but this stuff is really foolproof. You can go as subtle or as bold as you'd like. I also feel like the bottle will last forever! I like not having to worry about a blush powder crumbling all over my makeup bag. This is definitely a winner that lives up to its reputation :-)
I love this so much. I feel like it has been a favorite for years but I just tried it myself for the first time when it came in my box. That is why Birchbox is the best! It is a great rosy color, that is not too intense and really lasts. It kind of dries up your lips when you put it on, but I think that is why it stays and I simply just layer some chapstick on top. The mini size is perfect for keeping in my purse so I think I will continue to keep it and refill it with the full size version.5
This tint has a very natural look to it! I love the ease and convenience of this product! The color looks dark or red in the bottle, but it the most beautiful and natural color.5
I was a bit scared to try this product but have found I love it. I put my creme blush away and only use this. Some reviews say it doesn't last long, but I haven't found a blush that lasts longer. It's easy to use and puts the perfect rosy tint on my cheeks. I haven't had as much luck on my lips as I always stain the bottom one darker for some reason. I'm going to keep trying though!5
I love this stain if there was anything to fix it would be that it can be drying without a balm over it or something. Also the brush is very ticklish on my lips.5
