In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
Great for lips and cheeks without being overwhelming and obvious. I haven't worn blush in years because I wanted a natural look. This gives the appearance of an afternoon in the fresh air. Very natural!5
While I love the concept, I guess I was disappointed that the sample color isn't as universal as I thought it might be. The stain just wasn't complimentary to my dark skin tone.3
I got this thinking that I would really like it but it has a funny taste and is thin in consistancy. I have never used it on my cheeks, just lips. Im not so sure that I would ever buy it again.4
You look more alive each A.M. if you have color on your lips and cheeks. Benetint goes on your lips and cheeks in a jiffy. I usually add a little lip gloss or lipstick over the Benetint and I am good to go. The basic tint lasts until lunch. This product is one of my all time favorites.5
I was nervous about applying this stain to my lips because it looks really dark in the bottle. After applying it I was totally in love with the color. The stain dries nicely and lasts a long time.5
Love this product! Although a little pricey it is awesome! May favorite of all the tints I've tried. Would recommend anytime!5
I love this product! Easy to apply, and the color is flirty and fun. No terrible smell, It is not to heavy and is slightly transparent with a heavy enough color to make a difference. Love it! I will be buying more5
I really like the idea of this product. The texture is weird at first, but after a few seconds, it feels as if you're wearing nothing. Apply a layer of chapstick/gloss afterward, and you have a longtime tint.4
Very ho-hum in my humble opinion. I applied this to both my lips and cheeks. I had to keep applying more product to my cheeks to even notice anything. I ended up ditching that effort and just using my regular blush. As a lipstain, it's just okay. It provides a very light and pleasing color base, but definitely is not a stain--it disappeared within minutes. Definitely not impressed with this product.2
It works pretty well on lips, but doesn't stay put very long. Forget about eating or drinking anything--but even without that, it fades away too quickly.
But it's really cute while it lasts!
