In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
The short and sweet of it is that this stain provides subtle color and is super quick and easy to apply. I have a very pale complexion and I love that just a few swipes provide a nice flush without being overwhelming. The fact that I can also use it for a casual pink lip is a huge bonus. If you're on the fence about buying or trying a stain, this is your push to get it--it's worth it.5
Used as lipstick and was long lasting and smooth!!3
This is fantastic for cheeks and lips. I put it on in the morning and do not have to touch up for most of the day.
I will buy the full size ASAP.
I love this product because it is multi-use. The color is a little to bright on me (I am pale skinned) but I bought the lollitint and think it suits me well. Overall great product!4
I absolutely LOVE this product. It lasts forever and the color is amazing. I use it as a lip stain, not for cheeks.5
My only complaint is that I wish this product lasted longer, but that's it. The hue is perfect and looks natural. I love to put this product on at the beach because it's not sticky like lip gloss.4
i was unsure about a liquid stain before i tried this, but it was a very light EASILY blendable stain that looked beautiful, like a natural blush on the cheeks. love!! so good, my teenage daughter is hooked too. Also lasts forever!5
I like the control that a nonpowder blush gives me and I find that if I leave the product on my cheek for a few seconds before blending it in I'll be able to use less. If I blend it in right away it just disappears. I haven't used it on my lips yet. I like the color and it's small enough to travel with.5
I think this product is OK for a cheek stain. However, I was really more interested in it for my lips and it really isn't ideal for a lip stain. It is very thin and the smell is so strong that I almost felt I shouldn't be putting it near my mouth!2
I've used this for a few years now and I love it. It makes my cheeks look rosy and fresh without that powder residue look or feeling. Took a bit of time getting used to at first - how much to apply - but it's easy enough to figure out. Not my favorite for a lip stain, but I've found that using it for a base underneath another lipstick can add a little color dimension.4
