In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
I love this product, but I was a little disappointed by the size of this Birchbox sample. In fact, I already have a "sample size" of Benetint, from Sephora, that I paid $9.99 for and Is an actual sample size. This is a mini-sample. A sample of a sample. But from a product perspective ... it is one of the most useful formulas in my makeup bag. My favorite thing to do is add a few drops to face moisturizer and rub on my cheeks for a little color. It also works amazing as a lip tint, but make sure you put gloss or chapstick over it or it may dry out your lips a little. The formula is a little tricky at first so use a small amount, blend well and add as you go. Other wise you may end up looking like a doll with red dots on the apple of your cheeks. But once you get the hang of it, you will love this product!5
Great product! I was surprised how long-lasting this tint was. It lasted all day (through work, breakfast, lunch, coffee). I would reapply after work if I was going out, but it probably wouldn't be necessary.5
When I received this in my birchbox this month, I was less than thrilled. I couldn't imagine that any blush would be any different than another. Well this is amazing! I just put a couple drops on my cheek, and I look beautifully flushed all day! This product has been instrumental in my new youthful, fresh-faced look. I absolutely recommend it!5
This product is awesome, very natural effect . It's going to be great for the summer.5
I love the way this looks on my cheeks. THe smell is really nice too. It will be perfect for those light makeup months!5
This is a very pretty color- I am not a big fan of the texture and have trouble applying it evenly. I prefer other products to this one.4
This is just OK. It's definitely not worth all the hype in my opinion. The color is nice but doesn't really stay on the lips very long and it takes several applications before you can tell there's color. For the cheeks it's ok but didn't seem to last as long as they've said it does.3
I was so excited to see this product in my March box. It's the perfect size and color for me.3
I love this stuff! I have tried other Benefit tints before and I love this color. I think it is perfect as a base for other make up or as just a little splash of color if you are a wake up and run out the door type of girl (like me). I love being able to use the same product for my cheeks and lips. I actually think this is a perfect color for my lips. I would tell everyone that it is a staple.5
This product worked just as promised. I liked the faint rosiness that Benefit Benetint left on my cheeks and lips. I have always used powdered blush and was pleasantly surprised by this product.4
