In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
I've never used a stain before, so I was a little nervous to use this. Glad I tried it because it's amazing! I was expecting it to literally stain my cheeks/lips, but it left a very natural, glowy finish. I especially like to use it under a lip balm. Easy to use and lasts a long time. This baby is a keeper!5
I tried this through my box sample and I just don't see what all the fuss is about. I had to apply several times and still couldn't tell the difference on my lips. I wouldn't recommend this.2
This is now my go-to blush for day to day wear. I can increase/decrease the color as I see fit by just using a little more or a little less. This weekend I put this on my lips under a clear gloss and WOW! absolutely loved it and so much more comfortable than dry lipstick.5
I've always been an inexpensive drugstore makeup person who bought the exact same products for years. I was hesitant to branch out from my normal compact powder blush routine, but I figured I'd give Benetint a go since it came in my Birchbox. I LOVE IT. It stays all day long, even after my other makeup has worn off. It's practically impossible to apply it incorrectly, it's weightless on my skin, it settles on top of my foundation without issue, and blending with my fingers means no brushes to constantly clean.
Makeup usually looks like makeup on my dry winter skin, but Benetint gives me a natural flush that lasts all day. I'm hooked!!
I really wanted to love this product because it's a great idea in theory. In practice, however, it didn't hold up. I ended up with my finger tinted and no color on my cheeks.2
I don't usually wear lipstick... I'm more a chapstick kinda girl. This is great! It's the perfect lip tint. The color is gorgeous and it doesn't leave stains on your wine glass. You can add more for a bolder look, or keep it subtle with one coat. I don't prefer it for blush, but I can see how others would love the versatility and color.5
Before receiving Benetint in my box, I was scared of lip color. Now, it's a must. This stuff is easy to apply and makes you look polished in seconds. I love it because I don't have the shine/'look at me' appeal that most lip colors I have used in the past give me. It looks natural and feminine, but isn't over bearing.
I use every day and am so happy Birchbox introduced me to it! The only downfall is that after eating/drinking it tends to fade, so you need to reapply... which is sad because that means I will run out sooner. But on the plus side, it doesn't leave marks on glasses :)
I bought this product after receiving a sample in my box. I am still happy with it! Love the way you can use a little for a natural flush look or add more as the occasions call for it. Stays on all day!5
I received this in my first Birchbox. I had never used tint before and thought it was pretty old school. I had seen my aunt use it and thought it was outdated. Then I tried my sample. I absolutely love it! It stains your lips a soft red, so they look fresh. You can use multiple coats to make it darker. The tint stays on all day and you don't have to reapply. Also, it doesn't rub off or get on your teeth. I just add chapstick on top and it is ready to go! Definitely worth looking into.4
I have NC45 skin if you are using MAC as a color guide. I use this as both a cheek and lip tint. They both give my cheeks and lips a natural wash of color. It blends in well into the skin and looks like it's just naturally that way vs looking like you are wearing makeup!5
