In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
I have used this product, before I had a Birch Box subscription and absolutely loved it. It is great. It can really dress up your look for the day and adds some extra color to your face. I own this and wear it to work almost daily.5
I used this on my cheeks and lips and it worked great on both! I love the flush color that it gives to cheeks, so it doesn't look like you're wearing blush but adds a little color. I wore it under a light colored lip gloss to give a little rose color and it worked beautifully. Plus, the color stays on your lips without drying them out!5
Love this on my lips. It adds a just bitten look. You can do a little bit for just a slight flushing color, or layer it on for a deeper hue.5
I really like most Benefit products, but didn't care for this stain. It looks fine on my lips, but it doesn't do much as a cheek color.3
I love this product -- it creates a natural looking blush without the cakey effect of a dry blush. It is long lasting and it smells so nice.5
This is amazing. The color stays on the lips all day. I use it when I go out and during the night it stays on without leaving the lips dry.5
I have wanted to try this forever and finally pulled the trigger. While commonly used for cheeks, I purchased this solely to tint my lips. One application leaves a very subtle rose hint. I generally have to apply three layers to get a deeper rosy sheen. Beware, it is VERY drying to lips (but since it's a stain, you can top with lip balm and it will stick around for awhile). As a lip stain -- so-so. I like Stila's lipstain better (more color saturation). The smell is...well, rosy... which is kinda' weird.3
Love love love this product!! It rubs in so easily and there is no residue left on your fingers (I use my fingers for my makeup- oops)! The color is perfect for a little glow!5
This is great to have on hand when you need to add a little color to your face. The color looks natural on cheeks and lips, although it's a little dry and tastes a little funky on the lips, but it's not too bad. It lasts forever, too.4
I really liked the Benetint to give my cheeks a perfect pink glow on cold winter days. It gives that look of being out in the cold and looks cute! Be careful when applying though, because it is liquid it tends to run / streak if you don't rub in immediately.4
