In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
As much as I like the company, and I really tried to like this product - I can't. It doesn't feel right on my lips, leaves splotches on my cheeks, doesn't help me at all. Sorry.2
not a sort of product I use. also the sample looks like a little vial of blood, which is kind of funny.1
I received a sample in my January Birchbox. I'd been curious to try it and it goes on nicely. It gives a fresh addition of color to your face...has a bit of a shine to it when it's on you're cheeks but not ini a greasy way. On the lips it looks like you'd just eaten a cherry Popsicle. I'd definitely buy it when my sample runs out. A little goes a long way.5
Best out of all the CC creams I've tried. Really blends well.5
this tint gives a nice glow for the cheeks but is WAS too drying on the lips. not for me.1
I like it when it is first applied. When I first got it I thought that it would be too red but it was just perfect. The rose smell is pleasant I just wished that it lasted a little longer.3
I was surprised to get another lip and cheek stain in my January Box since I recently received Stainiac by The Balm a few months ago. However, I provided the a great opportunity for comparison. Benetint is a strong rose water fragrance, the application brush is flimsy and the product dries instantly making it difficult to get even coverage. I'll stick to Stainiac1
I did not like this product one bit... I think this is the first birchbox sample I will be throwing away completely. You have to immediately rub the stain in and better do it quickly and not mess up, cause it really stains. I get that that is the point, so maybe it's just not for me, but I like to be able to blend my makeup, especially my blush to make sure it looks natural. Even after I thought I mastered using this blush, my cheeks in the pictures from last night look clown-like and splotchy. I felt like I was a kid experimenting with my mom's makeup again.1
Can use this product as a lip tint or as blush. I don't have much use for it.3
This product is a waste of money. The tint on my lips was barely there and the formula is very watery. I'd rather use any other lip product. On my cheeks, it made my skin look blotchy instead of flushed or rosy and it does not apply well over other makeup. I would not buy this product.1
