In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
I liked the idea of the product more than the product itself. It went on nicely but left some parts of my lips darker than others and had a strange taste even after the product was dry.4
I have never used a product like this but I love it. The stain is subtle and lasts for hours5
I have used several different brands of lip and cheek stains before and this is my least favorite of them all. The color does not last very long and the color is not really dark enough to really make a difference.1
I liked that it has two uses but the color was so intimidating I liked that less was more but I prefer natural lips.2
I didn't find this product very effective - a little complicated to use, and the redness didn't really show on my lips or cheeks, even when I applied multiple layers. Cute sample though.3
Love this stuff. I definitely don't use it on my cheeks because I'm quite fair-skinned and it looks a little intense, but it's great for lips :)4
I never even knew this product existed before I received it in my box. It was fun to try and a neat experience but being someone who does not use lip color regularly it will not beecome part of my daily routine.4
It makes my lips look like I ate a red Popsicle. Lipstick works better.4
Benetint is the best tint you can get out there, works great for cheek and lip.5
I liked this product - but would like more of a shine out of my lip products. I like the idea that it has multiple uses - cheeks and lips. I may use it more on the cheeks as there's not as much shine.4
