In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
This product works best as a natural looking blush. I don't really recommend using it as a lip tint because it has a weird taste.5
Easy natural blushed look. Love it for days I look like a pale monster going to work at 5am! It really pinken'd up my cheeks without looking like I had much make up on! Def a must for days when you want minimal make up5
I liked that with just one layer you could create some color... but nothing drastic. I'm not a big lip color so this slight tint was great! Easy application as well.4
I am allergic to Benefit lip gloss and tried a small amount to test. While I'm not allergic, the tint was too light for my lips to wear alone. I've see mixed reviews so it must depend on the user.1
Ehh. I'm not in love with this product. It worked as advertised and stayed on longer than your average color, but it didn't leave me rushing to my computer to order it. It does what it says, but didn't knock my socks off.2
This product is great, you can add a little or a lot to find the perfect shade for you. It dries quickly but not quick enough that you would have streaks on your face. Love this product and I will definitely switch my blush out for this product once I am out of everything.5
I love the smell of this product. It gives my lips a natural looking tint and dries quickly.3
I generally love everything Benefit makes, but this one's not for me. I am not much for lip color ( more of a' dramatic eyes' kind of girl) but I do use blush, so I really did give this a good try. I felt the color didn't blend as nice as powders or creams do, and it kind of did strange things with my (matte) foundation. It might be better if you just use it over a moisturizer. I also usually love scented beauty products, but I don't care for rose.2
Goes on nicely and can build color. Love it for lips because I don't like lipstick and this is perfect.5
This went on my lips oddly. The color wouldn't distribute evenly. The sample wasn't a good color for me, but I don't think I'd try this in another tint.1
