In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
I like this product for the bit of color it adds to my lips. Really nice for a little pop on them for early morning workouts! I don't look so washed out at the early hour! I don't like it for my cheeks. I feel like I look like a flushed little girl.3
I love that Benetint leaves your lips and cheeks looking natural! It does not look like there is color on them at all. It feels very natural as well, and does not leave your lips dry like some lip stains.4
The stain works well to give your lips and/or cheeks a rosy color. It goes on smoothly in a liquid. The product is quite unique.4
Been using Benetint for years and its one of my favorite beauty products. Very versatile, can be used as check or lip stain and it works. One way to use it most don't know about is with a blush brush. Put 3 dots and blend with your brush. Just get to it quick or it'll leave dots!4
Stain feels natural on your lips as it doesn't leave a sticky residue. Love using it to look like my lips are naturally stained pink!4
This tint really keeps its color on both lips and cheeks, even through a workout! The rose smell is really nice, but not a fan of the taste. Fabulous color!4
$30 is a bit cost prohibitive, but this is by far my favourite tint. It smells fantastic and the color looks great on just about everyone! I've been using this for years.
Benetint is great for your cheeks but I love love love this for lips. It gives my face that extra pop of color especially when I'm not in the mood for a full red lip. Great product.5
I have often wanted to try this but didn't want to spend the money in case it was a flop. So glad I didn't because I think it' s pretty awful. Maybe it's my skin tone but I could hardly see it on my lips. I tried to layer it but still just was disappointing. It dried out my lips and it tastes pretty terrible when I would try to fix the dried out feel. Oh well, my friend was very happy to take it off of my hands since she adores it. Hoping for something better next month.2
I was excited to sample this product, because it's so far outside of the realm of what I typically use in my own routine. After sampling it, I don't think I'll buy. The color wasn't right for me, and I found the product somewhat difficult to work with on my cheeks. However, it is a really interesting product and I can see where it would be an amazingly convenient alternative to a lot of different makeups. I might save my little sample for nights out when I really want to dress things up a bit more.3
