In 1977, Jane and Jean Ford, the twin sisters behind Benefit, met a local dancer who requested a long-lasting red pigment that wouldn’t budge during her shows. They listened, and this beloved rose lip and cheek stain was born. Year after year, it’s a bestseller for good reason: the translucent color leaves us with a natural flush so we look pretty, not made-up.
Good for the summer, but I'm not a huge fan of cheek/lip stains. This is the classic.4
I tend to stick to using powder blush on my cheeks, but I was really satisfied with this product as a lip tint. It smells lovely, goes on easily (even more easily than most of the lip stains or tints I've used), and stays for a decent while. I liked it quite a bit.5
The color of this product is beautiful, particularly on the cheeks. I think it would be great for mornings that are rushed when you really need to simplify. But it doesn't have quite the same nice finish as a traditional blush in my normal routine. Went well with my smashbox clear lip gloss for a natural looking lip color!4
It didn't show on my lips at all :(
also I'm not a huge fan of the smell
I LOVE this product! I received a sample in another subscription box awhile back and wanted to buy a full size of it and then received one in my BB. It is so natural on the skin. Stays on all day long and is the perfect shade of blush. I will also use it as a lip tint and it is great, just enough to pop the natural color of my lips. Thanks Benefit!5
Tried it on my cheeks just did not work so tried on my lips it was not bad but the taste was so chemically tasting could not use it for my lips3
I love Benefit cosmetics. I like using this product on my lips but don't think I would ever use it for my cheeks.3
I like this product a lot on lips; however, not on cheeks at all. I didn't think it blended well and you have to put a lot of product on to get real color. Personally for cheeks I would stick to a powder or cream blush.2
I like this concept and think this would be great for a night out with a dramatic lip; however, it's not something I would personally use every day.3
Love this stain - perfect for lips and cheek! I like to use my Dr. Lipp balm before or after to give my lips a bit of moisture, and add the stain for color. It lasts for a long time and gives a really pretty pink-red shade depending on how much you apply. Must have!5
