If “non-foaming shampoo” sounds like a paradox on par with “non-delicious cupcake” and “boring unicorn,” allow us to enlighten you. Non-sudsing cleansers are free of harsh parabens and sulfates, two ingredients that can cause damage to already-brittle hair. And this multitasker from Nelson j Beverly Hills doesn’t just stop at cleansing—it works seven wonders for hair health, including conditioning and detangling. Bonus: the minty citrus scent is a delicious wakeup call.
I did not think I would like a non foaming shampoo, but I did like the results from this. It was hard to tell if I was using the right amount for cleanliness, so I probably used more than needed. Once my hair was dry, it was clean, but had a very moisturized texture and felt thicker. For my straight hair that often lacks texture, this shampoo was great. I used it several times in a row to and felt it did a good job of keeping my hair clean. It is a little more than I want to spend on a shampoo, but I may consider it if I see a special deal.4
The scent is absolutely amazing!!! citrus and mint soooooo refreshing, I just couldn't get past the non-foaming part of it....maybe you could use it after your normal shampoo ...it really smells that good.3
First of all, I have to say while in the shower, I loved it!!! Made my hair feel silky soft and wonderfully nourished. However, after drying and styling it felt so greasy after only a few hours. I tried it a different days to no avail. Not for me as I like to only wash every couple days and this definitely made my hair feel dirty on day one. :( smell was wonderful though! So thumbs up for shower experience, thumbs down for after.3
I'll admit the texture of this product on my hair and scalp took some getting used to. It's got little beads in it that I wanted to make sure I rinsed out thoroughly. It did make my hair feel moisturized. Other shampoos feel more drying and can make my hair feel more brittle.3
I appreciate what they're trying to do here, as I try to find shampoos with no sulfates or parabens and hate that "stripped hair" feeling. But this stuff really only seems practical for someone with short or fine hair and a non-oily scalp to begin with. I have long, thick hair and my scalp, especially around the hairline gets greasy, and this shampoo was way to wimpy for me. Smells awesome though!2
A little strange at first, since it's non-foaming, but trust it... it works great!
The minty smell is really refreshing and gives a little "zing" feel to your scalp. Just be careful to rinse thoroughly - an incomplete rinse will result in a greasy feel to your hair.
I have heavily dyed hair, vibrant colors, and found this did not strip color from it - was more gentle than I originally anticipated. Great product!
I really enjoyed trying this product. I wouldn't use it on a daily basis, but it is excellent to use on the days that you want to skip your usual shampoo and conditioner routine. The minty scent is very relaxing in a steamy shower.4
I have rather thick, coarse hair that is color treated. I love how this make my hair feel after a washing. You do have to scrub your scalp well and rinse really well to get out the little scrubbing granules but I don't mind it. Love this shampoo and recommend it to anyone with similar type hair.5
I love the smell and my scalp felt wonderfully tingly, perfect morning shampoo. Not sure if it's because I couldn't get it out of the sample container but I felt like I needed to use more (hence 3 star). My hair did smell awesome all day.3
I didn't feel like this made my hair feel clean. I had to use the whole sample and still didn't feel clean. Maybe if I had more to try I could have given it more of a chance.2
