When BY TERRY created this nourishing balm back in 2003, the brand had no idea it would gain cult classic status so quickly. A favorite of Parisian models and Hollywood actresses, the daily essential plumps and soothes chapped lips with a blend of precious actives. Pure rose essential wax smoothes away roughness, while shea butter doubles the formula's moisturizing powers, bio-ceramides undo the look of fine lines, and lipid spheres help skin retain hydration. Plus, it also works as a luxe nail treatment for dry cuticles.
I have been wanting to try this product. I'm medium-dark skin toned. This balm seems to be more suitable for lighter skinned / pinker lips.
I love the way it feels. But on my skin tone, it is probably not the best fit.
However, just for the amazingly gorgeous packaging, I would want to keep this in my bag :D
I was in love with this product when it came as a sample in my Birchbox, and ready to go right online to purchase a full-sized bottle....BUT WHOA! I was stopped dead in my tracks by the price! Really expensive for a lip product! So if you can afford it, I definitely recommend it, but I guess I'll stick with regular chap stick for now...3
Well...I'd heard the amazing reviews on this lip baum and desperately wanted to try it out. Upon opening the cap, the first thing I noticed was the strong scent of artificial roses. I'm a migraineur so it was not a smell that agrees with me. The product is creamy and easy to apply. It's definitely hydrating but it seems about as good as a quality chapstick that I could purchase at Whole Foods for $5.00. I do not feel as though it is worth spending $59.00 for this product. It is hydrating however, there is no wow factor on this. I prefer using Jason's vitamin D oil right on my lips, it's just as good for $10.00.
So... I don't dislike it per say, but I don't love it either. For $59.00 I have to love it to buy it again.
I so appreciate getting to try such an expensive product. While I really did not like the scent, especially on my lips I am trying to give it a good try. So far I haven't been overly impressed but still am happy I get to try an extra product.3
It was a very small sample to see if I liked it or not. I love that birchbox will place extra to make up for a small sample thank you for that.3
Don't get me wrong--I LOVE this product, but is it worth the price tag? I don't think so. I wouldn't buy it again. But it does feel amazing and smells like roses. If you're wanting to splurge on a lip balm, this is great, but I don't think it is life changing enough to recommend to everyone!4
I really enjoyed the scent of this balm and the fact that it has sunscreen within it. It is thick and provides a lot of moisture right off the bat. However, I don't feel like it lasts very long. I like it, but I feel like I have to combine it with gloss or lipstick to make its wear last longer.4
This is a wonderful product. Smooth and applies nicely. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to price. It is expensive but so wonderful. Is a nice way to treat your lips!4
I have been using this for about a month and at first did not see what the hype was about but the more I use this balm the more I like it. It has a slightly sticky wax like consistency that feels creamy and soothing on the lips. It stays on most of the day and to me seems like it makes a barrier between my lips and the world. I tried to stop using it and found that my lips don't feel or look as soft, supple, and healthy as they did when this balm was in use. The only negative I have is the price.4
I received this balm in my vanity affair box and it is great and does an awesome job of nourishing my lips and cuticles in the colder months. Although it doesn't stay on very well for the duration of the day and multiple applications may be necessary, I do believe it to be very effective.4
