There are a number of reasons why fall vies for our favorite season. There’s the changing leaves, the fact that boots are back in rotation, and, most importantly, there’s pumpkin. We love it—in pies, in overpriced beverages, and, most recently, in our skincare products. This handmade mask from Wild Honey Apothecary combines pumpkin with other delicious ingredients like raw cocoa, and, as the name implies, honey, for a nourishing treat for our skin.
I purchased this product twice as I loved it the first time around, however, the honey ended up going bad and i'm not sure why. I didn't use it any different than the first time around and stored it in the same temperature etc. I would not recommend to purchase this mask - even though it's organic and that's awesome - the product may be a bit TOO organic.1
I love masks, so I decided to try this natural one. It smells so lovely that you'll want to eat it, but it is honey based, so be ready for a sticky mess. Beyond that, I didn't see any results or changes, and the left overs will probably sit in the closet until I throw it out, I don't see myself using this again.2
Yes, this mask moisturizes and calms your skin, and smells amazing. But actually getting it on your face is hellish. It's very firm and doesn't soften up until it's warmed up on your skin - but to actually get it on your skin, you have to pull it around. Needless to say, this doesn't feel great and takes a minute or two just to get enough on your face.
Won't be buying this again unless they make it easier to apply.
It smells great and doesn't irritate my skin. The packaging is adorable. But I can't say that I have noticed any difference in my skin texture. This was a one time purchase for me.2
This product is fun but that's about it. It doesn't do much for my skin but smells awesome and has a pretty container.3
This mask makes my skin feel so soft and is a great weekly treatment. However I have 2 problems: the first is that it has a very odd smell. I thought cocoa, pumpkin and honey would be a wonderful autumn scent, but it just doesn't do it for me. The plus side is the scent doesn't linger, so as soon as I wash it off, I don't smell the mask anymore. The second issue I have is it is so sticky. No matter how hard I try, I always get the mask all in my hair. So I try to use it right before I wash my hair. If you can get past these issues the mask really does wonders in softening your skin.3
I feel the product overall made my skin smooth, however Iwas disappointed in the texture of the mask, I know it is made with honey, however the name with mud in it made me think it would be more of a mud mask....that is not the case at all. So if you are seeking an actual mud mask I wouldn't necessarily purchase this product.3
Definitely sticky going on, but not as bad as I feared after reading other reviews. It smells (and tastes) divine though. My skin felt nice after leaving it on for about 10-15 minutes, but no dramatic change. Not something that will become part of my regular routine, but definitely something I would use if I were trying to unwind/relax (like with a bath).4
I love the way this product made my skin feel. It makes my skin feel so soft and smells great. I use it at least once a week and its worth it.4
Less of a mask - it doesn't get hard. I love the way this smells (like honey), and yes, I might have tasted a tiny bit of it. It was fun to use, easy to wash off, and left my skin smooth. I'm a fan.4
