Inspired by the beautiful, talented Vivian Leigh Hartley (Scarlett O’Hara in Gone With the Wind, among others), holistic skincare line betty&ko™ created this luxe dehydrated mud mask. Clay minerals and fennel seed make up this detoxifying yet soothing formula which leaves skin radiant and deeply cleansed.
My friend recommended this product because of how effectively it purified her pores. I love how you get JUST the good stuff, and you activate it yourself aka you aren't paying for the water and preservatives in other face masks! It literally drinks up the excess oils and dirt in my pores, and also pacifies that once a month Aunt Flow pimple too! The whole line is vegan, too.5
I am a total Betty advocate after using this mask! I was not used to using masks of this strength. Once it dries, it feels like it has turned to stone! But once you rinse it off, you will feel you skin feel like a baby's bottom.
What I like about this mask:
*It makes my skin look radiant
*I can see and feel the imperfections of my skin vanish from my face the more I use it
*All organic ingredients
My only gripe is that the mask feels a little lumpy to put on. I recommend using an old, cleaned foundation brush to apply.
SIDE NOTE: If your skin is a little sensitive, I would suggest you go with the Walker mask by Betty&Ko. It's less heavy duty but still leaves your skin feeling amazing!
I discovered this mask through bett&ko's sister company, Belly Sutra, which I became absolutely obsessed with when I became pregnant a few years ago. I hoped it would be of similar quality and decided to give it a try and I'm so so happy that I did.
Besides being a nice mini at home spa treatment, this mask is especially useful around the time Aunt Flo comes to town because it shrinks my zits faster than any other treatment I've used in the past, including tea tree oil. Someimes I mix just enough to dab on my blemishes at night, go to sleep and wash the spots off in the morning. (I have a *very* loving and forgiving hubby, by the way.)
I have noticed a dramatic change whenever I wash my face! My skin has felt smoother and I have felt significantly less of those annoying small, under the skin bumps, particularly on my chin and cheeks.
I've tried diy clay masks in the past, and they usually leave me feeling itchy and uncomfortable. I literally clench my teeth as I wait for it to dry! But this was as comfortable as I could expect it to be. In fact, it is so comfortable and such a pampering experience, I kind of feel like Cleopatra whenever I use it. haha This mask keep my skin clear and gives me a moment of much needed "me time" twice a week. I highly recommend it.
This is probably one of my favorite Betty&ko products! The way my skin looks after this mask is beyond words. It really gives you that natural glow that every girl looks for.
I use this product 1-2 times a week depending on how much makeup or overall "filth" my face comes into contact with. I love the way it hardens on the face, like real mud, and gives a tingling sensation letting you know that it's working deep in, as well as detoxifying your pores.
A must have if you are looking to really clean up your acne-prone skin!
Organic way is the BEST way!
Betty Page, Vivien Leigh - I don't know who to thank, but this is a fantastic mask and works so well. I love the DIY aspect but love the results even more. Oh Ashleigh, I love you, I do!4
