This scent has a story worth repeating: on a hike in the mountains of Italy, Atelier Cologne founders Sylvie Ganter and Christopher Cervasel stumbled upon a rare flower known to locals as the Brunello. They had never smelled anything like it — there seemed to be a whole ambery bouquet contained within the single bloom. After returning home, they were inspired to create a scent that paid homage to their fragrant memory, and Ambre Nue was born. This highly concentrated Cologne Absolue — 18 percent, to be exact — is the latest addition to the Atelier line.
I found this perfume to be too strong and more for an older woman. Just not the scent for me.1
This scent was way too strong and masculine for me. I'm more into light and flowery scents. My hubby also gave a thumbs down on this scent.1
This is a great product. The fragrance lasts all day and is a nice, warm fragrance for winter.3
I didn't like how strong the scent of wood came through.
Was told this smelled good but it isn't the scent for me.4
The fragrance is a bit old-lady, and it is overwhelmingly strong.2
It smelled very different on my skin than it did in the bottle. I was skeptical because it is a very strong scent but it wasn't overwhelming after I dabbed it on my pulse points.
I am in love with this perfume. It smells elegant yet earthy. Not earthy in a hippy way but earthy like a sensual red lipped gypsy woman dripping amber jewelry. I don't know the right way to describe the scent, it's exotic and sexy and it has a perfect lingering note. I received several compliments the first time I wore it out and about.
I will be purchasing this wonderful scent, I don't have to worry about smelling like everyone else, it's unique!5
This was not for me. I opened it while with my dad. I got some of it on my fingers, and immediately washed my hands. The smell was awful. Washing my hands didn't get it all off. It also gave me a headache, and my dad started sneezing like crazy.1
I didn't really like this scent. When I first tried it, my initial response was that it was way too strong. Then after I waited a few minutes the scent was more subtle but I still couldn't decide if I like it. Truthfully, it reminds me of a scent that my grandmother would wear. To me it smells like a strong bouquet of flowers and not a scent that I would consider current. Like I initially said, I don't love it. I may wear it if I get really desperate and run out of all my other perfume samples - which is highly unlikely. I definitely would not purchase this scent.2
