This scent has a story worth repeating: on a hike in the mountains of Italy, Atelier Cologne founders Sylvie Ganter and Christopher Cervasel stumbled upon a rare flower known to locals as the Brunello. They had never smelled anything like it — there seemed to be a whole ambery bouquet contained within the single bloom. After returning home, they were inspired to create a scent that paid homage to their fragrant memory, and Ambre Nue was born. This highly concentrated Cologne Absolue — 18 percent, to be exact — is the latest addition to the Atelier line.
When I went to open the sample it exploded and spilled, at the time I was in my car and immediately recognized I didn't like the way it smelled. For the next 2 days all I could smell was this perfume and it didn't make me like it at all. It reminds me of Chanel Number 5, something my mother wears but way too strong of a scent for me.1
This perfume smelled very masculine to me. I found it to be very musky and washed it off within 20 minutes of putting it on. Not for me.1
I tried it on my wrist pulse points and it lasted all day. I didn't like the scent so I gave it to my boyfriend and he's been using it. Long lasting, masculine scent.1
in my opinion it is way to strong, if you like strong scents that it would be nice for you.
if you like sweet, light, muskier smells then dont use this perfume, kind of reminds me of men who put on to much of a strong cologne.
I'm not sure what it is but, this smelled like pepper to me? I wore it out to my mother in laws for breakfast one morning and my husband kept telling me how awful it smelled. Honestly, I have to agree with him. I was not at all impressed. I tried again and used much less than I did the first time and still wasn't really liking it.1
The scent was too strong for me. I tried it on but won't wear it again.1
I really don't care for this brand. I received another fragrance from this company, and I really don't like the musky-ness of it. It is really strong and not for me.1
I have received quite a few fragrance samples from Birchbox and I generally really like them. While this fragrance is nice, it really sets off my allergies.1
Maybe this is just me, but this smelled like cheap perfume I would find at my grandma's house. An expensive perfume that smells cheap.1
I actually did not originally get this sample in my birchbox this month... i got the cardboard packaging for the sample, sans the sample. I reached out to birchbox and they were great and sent it to me, but i almost wish i hadn't. my stuff is shipped to work, and when i opened it, a tiny bit got on my finger and my whole area smelled for hours. it is very strong- too strong for me (and i had a cold). In fact, it almost reminds me of a man's scent. Wishing for something lighter!1
