This scent has a story worth repeating: on a hike in the mountains of Italy, Atelier Cologne founders Sylvie Ganter and Christopher Cervasel stumbled upon a rare flower known to locals as the Brunello. They had never smelled anything like it — there seemed to be a whole ambery bouquet contained within the single bloom. After returning home, they were inspired to create a scent that paid homage to their fragrant memory, and Ambre Nue was born. This highly concentrated Cologne Absolue — 18 percent, to be exact — is the latest addition to the Atelier line.
for an expensive cologne the smell was very unpleasant and
unfemenine. I will not be purchasing this product in the near future
Wasn't too impressed with the smell. It's kind of an older smell. I am more of a fruity girl :)1
Smells too manly...Not of fan of any fragrance that comes in the boxes :/1
The scent was very strong, I didn't even put any on and the smell stayed in the room for an hour.1
Amber Nue is a heavy amber cologne. You can really smell the bergamot in the top note and sandalwood in the heart note. This fragrance is heavy and pervasive.1
Definitely a strong, musky scent that is just not for me.1
It has a very strong woody scent as advertised, however it is not a pleasant smell and reminds me of cleaning supplies.1
Really not my kind of sent. It was heavy and very heady, and actually reminds me of a men's fragrance. I could see it working really well as a men's cologne, but for me its a bit heavy. It does last and is very strong, so the quality is obviously high.1
The smell was not appealing to me at all. But I gave it to my mom and she thought it was ok but that it didn't last that long.1
So this is what made my birchbox late? Really? I have the opinion that most birchbox customers are somewhat younger, with the majority ranging from 18-30. This is not a perfume for anyone in that age group. It is heavy, strong, and reminds me of a cologne that my grandmother would wear. I am getting more and more disappointed in birchbox. I think January will be my last month.1
