This scent has a story worth repeating: on a hike in the mountains of Italy, Atelier Cologne founders Sylvie Ganter and Christopher Cervasel stumbled upon a rare flower known to locals as the Brunello. They had never smelled anything like it — there seemed to be a whole ambery bouquet contained within the single bloom. After returning home, they were inspired to create a scent that paid homage to their fragrant memory, and Ambre Nue was born. This highly concentrated Cologne Absolue — 18 percent, to be exact — is the latest addition to the Atelier line.
Amber Nue is a heavy amber cologne. You can really smell the bergamot in the top note and sandalwood in the heart note. This fragrance is heavy and pervasive.1
I'm not one to like stronger scents but something about this just screams sexy date night... just sayin! I felt like it was a really different scent that I normally smell and that it smelled..expensive? Not sure if that's the right word but it definitely has some quality to it.4
Very strong scent! Even after a while, the scent just didnt appeal to me. Very musky, I prefer the more floral scents.2
Was excited to see a brand/scent I wasn't familiar with in February's box, and this cologne was definitely different. It is a very strong, spicy, concentrated scent. I dabbed a few drops between my wrist and elbow to see how I'd like it. As it began to wear off, it wasn't nearly as spicy, it seemed a little more musky. Not one of my faves but not horrible either. I did like how the sample came with the postcard of the history of the scent.3
Definitely a strong, musky scent that is just not for me.1
STILL not sure about the scent. I'm more of a Juicy/Ralph Lauren/Taylor Swift kinda girl!3
It has a very strong woody scent as advertised, however it is not a pleasant smell and reminds me of cleaning supplies.1
I really enjoyed this perfume. It's classy, interesting, and just a little sexy. It's subtle enough to wear to the office, but sensual enough for date night. It's definitely on my list of perfumes to consider buying.4
a warm amber-ish scent - my favorite of all the scent samples so far.5
Really not my kind of sent. It was heavy and very heady, and actually reminds me of a men's fragrance. I could see it working really well as a men's cologne, but for me its a bit heavy. It does last and is very strong, so the quality is obviously high.1
