We've always had a special place in our hearts (and budgets) for candles—the scents, the decorative possibilities, the cozy ambiance. Added to our lengthy list of reasons for love: the presents! As each of these all-natural candles burn, you get all the usual benefits, plus a hidden charm on a bracelet or a necklace thats revealed within just a few hours. The collectible charm, which could be gold- or silver-plated, dyed quartz, or even real diamonds. (Yep, real diamonds.) Each candle is made of quality soy and has a 100 percent vegetable-dipped wick.
I was extremely disappointed with the candle. I got the rose sent which was good but when burning it wasnt strong enough to even fill a room. Then the "jewelry" that was inside was a JOKE! Cheapest thing I have ever seen. I got a gold/ green stone on a sting like necklace. SOOOO CHEAP. You can get better out of a vending machine!1
I was so excited when I saw this candle in a Birchbox video that I bought it immediately. I bought the smell Sugar Rush. I don't know if I got a dud or what, but the aroma was basically nonexistent. Could hardly even smell it while I was sitting beside the candle, and don't even get me started on the "charm". I would not purchase again.1
This is such a waste of a match to even light this candle. I love the idea of the gamble of what charm will you get in your candle!? Is it a $10 or $1000 charm?! well bet your money that it is neither. In reality you get a charm on a piece of dental floss worth about ten cents. Save your match and your money and do not even consider buying this candle....1
I was so excited for this candle. One there isn't a lot of scent at all. Two he charm inside is something a teenager would wear. Nothing anyone over 25. Super disappointed1
I received the bella j roseberry candle and it is terrible. It smells like a bunch of strawberry daiquiris left out in the sun. Way too sweet for my taste.1
I am so highly disappointed in this candle I don't even know where to begin. I got the rose/berry candle thinking it would smell amazing! It smells like a grandmothers bathroom. The candle burns black which I don't expect for the price and the soy wax. It leaves pillars of black smoke even after trimming the wick. I also burned down to my "charm" today. It is a piece of plastic spray painted gold on a string....an actual string! I can go to a mall and put a quarter in a machine and get something that's better quality than this. I honestly have no idea how this company has higher ratings on here. People need to wait until their little surprise before reviewing. This company is terrible and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.1
I got this candle in Sugar Rush because I love scented candles, and regarded the charm as merely a bonus. First of all, I can only smell it if I am within one foot of it. Very, very lightly scented. No throw whatsoever. The charm I got was a horseshoe that came on what is basically a piece of green sewing thread. It's "adjustable" but I am very afraid of ripping it because it's so flimsy. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to a friend.1
IT sounds so cool, get a great scented candle and then a nice piece of jewelry to go along with it. It's just a charm on a really cheap piece of string. Might be cute for someone younger, but it's really not great quality.(also, candles are not safe for kids, but you might pass on the charm on string to someone who might actually appreciate it)
The actual candle is not great. It just does not have a very dense, layered scent, a grocery store air freshener possibly even smells better.
I got this candle when they were add on's for the box... Unfortunately, the add on was sold out, but I was intrigued by the idea so I went and bought not one, not two, but three of them! So far I've only burned the Very Berry scent, which smells very sweet. It took about 6-7 hours of burn time to get my foil packet out and when they say it's a 'charm candle' they aren't kidding. My 'cute little surprise treat' was a plastic starfish, spray painted silver, on a piece of green sewing thread. It is disappointing that this small candle was $25 because of the charm inside. There is no way this thing bumped the retail value up that much...
All in all, the candle itself smells good but I wouldn't spend the money on one again, because I could get a candle from that well known place in the mall that is 3x as big for the same price. My three year old loves the charm though, so seeing her smile made it all worth it to me.
I wish I had read the reviews for this before I purchased it. I was really excited to try the Snow Ball candle because I love winter scents, but this has absolutely no scent throw. It actually doesn't have much scent, period. I can barely pick up on any scent when I smell the candle, even when it isn't burning. I haven't gotten to the charm inside yet, but even still I probably wouldn't recommend this candle, based on the lack of scent.2
